The prior Indiana governor was a good man. Daniels should have entered the race when Romney was running. He did not. Pence is a homophobic cut tax and scrap government dogmatic driven politician. He is a perfect fit for the ticket who hates blacks, mexicans, muslims, and now gays. He wants a ban on Gays in the military. American fascism is alive and well, and if anybody thinks racism and hate is not what is driving this election, please explain how these two men could ever get elevated to the ticket of a major national party?

Looks that way...here we go:

http://crooksandliars.com/2016/07/indy-star-mike-pence-donald-trumps-vp-pick

The Indy Star is reporting that Gov. Mike Pence will be Donald Trump's VP pick.

Gov. Mike Pence is dropping his re-election bid in Indiana to become Donald Trump’s running mate.

IndyStar has confirmed that Trump plans to announce Pence as his selection for vice president, ending a weeks-long vice presidential casting call during which Trump vetted a handful of high-profile Republicans.

Trump's national campaign spokeswoman, Hope Hicks, said "a decision has not been made." A formal announcement is scheduled for 11 a.m. Friday in Manhattan.

The long-awaited decision upends the political landscape in Indiana and at least partially remakes the Trump campaign in Pence’s image.

We all know Trump's addiction to the media so it's very possible this is a bait and switch so he can make a bigger splash tomorrow, but the Indy Star wouldn't report this if they didn't have good sources.

(comment by your personal devil's advocate)

He has had issues with his own Republican legislators in Indiana......this guy is a perfect fit for Donald Trump. Reactionary politics degenerating into simple fascism.....God help us.

From some of the comments I've read, Pence is not popular in Indiana...probably would lose in the next election.

Pence is everybody who Trump vanquished in the primaries.......he picks somebody who he has railed against for a year.....the hypocrisy is too thick to avoid.......a guy who was all for trade policies and a Washington insider......it really is too funny. Poor Sarah Palin does not get to speak at the convention and a marriage of convenience is brokered with Pence......I feel like I am watching HBO's game of thrones.

I haven't watched Game of Thrones at all, but I did watch House of Cards on Netflix.

I'm not a body image basher but Pence reminds me of a villain in a James Bond movie. Maybe if he had a scar on his eye...the newest Casino Royale??

Good image selection, FT.

The two of these guys together as a team will be dynamite, and I don't mean that in a good way.

It is a good recipe for disaster in November. The GOP is completely wrapped up in telling us how bad Hillary is, while doing little to convince voters how much better the Republicans are than she is. Unless the GOP articulates a credible platform to America, the Democrats will run away with this election.

By credible platform, I mean something beyond building a wall between us and Mexico, and demonizing all immigrants currently living here, while promising to defund Planned Parenthood, and saying pornography is a major health crisis in our country.

Who could make this up?

Identical to the phrase "It's not about the money".  Whenever someone says that, you automatically KNOW...IT'S ABOUT THE MONEY.

My Progressive good friend SheWrites says..."I'm not a body image basher...BUT!  You automatically KNOW she's a body image basher.
