Suddenly, Morning Joe unanimously attacks Trump after inviting him on for literally millions of dollars of free tv time to promote his campaign as other networks then gave him time because MSNBC was doing the same......and now suddenly after Trump is the nominee and Clinton has won, they turn the spigot off as Joe attacks Trump......sorry, it is pretty obvious it was no accident that Trump won when the the folks who traditionally attacked bad behavior, did not do the same with the original Mexican and Muslim attacks, but once Trump had clinched the nomination the after hundreds of hours of free tv time......he is shut off. Conspiracy theory.......I never saw a candidate get so much time on TV as Trump, and now leading the attack on Trump.....the same folks who ignored his prior racism.......this was not an accident. Poor Fox News could have easily promoted Uncle Bernie instead of attacking him as a socialist, but they all but guaranteed Hillary the nomination.

Are you saying that this tv network including Scarborough and it's other talking heads as part of the plot intentionally gave Trump all that exposure to make him the nominee because they knew Hillary could beat Trump and all they cared about is getting Hillary elected?

I think Fox News andMNSBC have programed their network with a definite political slant which brings in ad dollars and enhances their networks. I do not think it was by accident that MSNBC gave Trump so much TV time early in the campaign. He was on twice a week and go significant coverage. His origianl statements should have caused the network slant to simply ignore his candidacy.......instead they all but promoted the same.....and then bam.....we are done. Yea.....I do not think it was by accident, any more than Fox slanting things toward the Republicans. Trump is destroying the Republican Party.

Well I agree with the last sentence,  Trump definitely IS destroying the Republican Party.  But actually it's not only Trump destroying it.  The stupid dumbed-down sons of bitches who are still supporting Trump are also a party to destroying the party (get it,  a party to destroying the party).

What Trump is destroying by himself is his ability to keep bullshitting people with his name on that overpriced real estate.  Very few people will now see that Trump brand name the way they did before.  And many will now see the Trump brand name as representing nothing but fraud and scam and con games which is all it ever was to begin with.

But that's all I agree with.  Scarborough and all those other network talking heads aren't working for themselves and are not autonomous.
They all work for a boss at Comcast Cable.  And all Comcast Cable ever wants to conspire to do is to make profits.  If Comcast was signed off on promoting Trump it was because the presidential candidate Trump was creating a 50% higher rating whenever he appeared on any of these cable news talking head shows.  And four times the usual ratings for the so-called "debates" which were nothing but showcases put on by each cable news network which were also designed to capitalize on the ratings.
Ratings determine profits.

But then over time it got more and more obvious to them (as it did to me) that the possibility of this oddity they created actually might win the presidency and that would probably be disastrous for the country so now they're intent on bringing him down.

Trump is evil, but the evil just did not get discovered this week.......it was there all along, and they invited him on the network repeatedly......Chris Matthews and Joe repeatedly had love fests with the person who had said worse than this week......nope, the Republican Party got snookered by MSNBC, and in the process watched Trump trash their competition, and the Republican Party.

No, seaoat. There was no "evil all along". At the beginning of this thing, what Trump was to NBC/MSNBC was the lead actor in a very successful high rated program of theirs called "The Apprentice". That's why he got all the airtime on MSNBC. And that's all he was to Scarborough too. And to me. And to you. And to most everybody else.

When future historians tell the story of the 2016 Presidential election, the story won't be about anybody conspiring to do anything.

It will be a variation of the George Orwell story in one sense because both his story and this one revolve around a television image found in every home.
But there's where the fictional 1984 parts company with the reality of 2016.
And the reality of 2016 is just that. It's how "reality" tv morphed into something trying to actually become reality.

You missed my point. I said all Trump was to the tv network at the beginning of this campaign was he was the star of their Apprentice reality show.
Their P.T. Barnum instincts then saw him to be an audience draw in general.

That's all it was. He wasn't put on Morning Joe and Scarborough wasn't nice to him because of some deep dark conspiracy.

The thing about all these conspiracy theories,  and that goes for yours and the 9/11 truther nonsense and all the rest;  is how it always wants to make the "conspirators" be such diabolical geniuses.

Bush and Cheney aren't diabolical geniuses.  And neither are the people running tv networks.  And neither are Joe and Mika.  Especially Mika.  lol

You deny that MSNBC and Fox have a slant. That when one network has programing it is consistent with that slant for the most part. Many people complained to MSNBC about the Trump air time as being contrary to the slant........however, in one gut shot......the Republican Party has been gutted and you think it took some high level conspiracy to do the same. Nonsense......it was absolutely obvious to any thinking person that they were promoting Trump during the primary with the air time........ratings......sure, but do the ratings now mean any less? The air time given to trump was calculated, and the candidate they wanted is going to be the nominee. Fox News has Dr. K and Bill O arguing over Trump as chaos is the status of that network, and in that chaos far greater ratings opportunity for MSNBC.......again.....obvious.

In  regard to Fox News Channel,  you need to compare hosts,  not a host with a guest.
After this latest flap,  Bill O'Reilly is playing the role of Trump defender while Meghyn Kelly is back to being the Trump attacker.
And it's interesting how the script for this is being written.
You see Trump with O'Reilly (the defender).
But you don't see Trump with Kelly.  Instead,  Kelly herself tries to play neutral while the show is loaded with anti-Trumpers.

There's about as much "conspiracy" here as there is at the World Wrestling Federation.  In both cases, the "conspiracy" is to try to get lots and lots of people watching.  Because lots and lots of people watching translates into higher ad revenues.

That has always been Rupert Murdoch's modus operandi. To sensationalize and create controversy, because he knows that's what sells.

By the way, Murdoch is a friend of Hillary Clinton. Murdoch is not what his fans believe he is.

"nothing to hard"........and the process elevated Trump, and has gutted the Republican Party. Brilliance. Using the very hate to gut the hate mongers.

Sorry, my friend.  Donald Trump had to leave the show the same as Mike Huckabee had to leave his TV show.  The Apprentice is continuing with Arnold Schwartzenager as host.  Apparently, the format will be changed somewhat, much like it changed, from time to time with Trump as host.

What his TV show has to do with the election, I have no clue.

Here is Cena slamming Trump. Not WWE style but for real. I just wonder how long it will take the WWE to give Donald the Hulkster non person treatment and dump Trump from their Hall of Fame. I guess that will take massive boycotts by the fans against Vince McMahon and his WWE brand.

The tv show helped make "The Donald" a household name.
So did all the other media attention Trump cultivated before the tv show.
Name recognition is one of most important variables in a nationwide election.

USA Network is the home of WWE Monday Night Raw. USA Network is owned by NBC Universal. Comcast owns NBC Universal. Hmmm, I wonder who is pulling the strings.
