I took the table from a document published at David Stafford's website. There was an article about Mr. Mirza Aftab Ahmad in the PNJ the other day, but I cannot find it to post the link.
He hails from Pakistan and came to the U.S. around 1998. He once owned a convenience store in Pensacola (my wife calls those kinds of stores 'Habib Stores'), but then moved up to owning a used car lot on W Street. He also owns 17 properties in our county. So, this man has been making the most of his American Experience.
Adding a Muslim to the Escambia County Commission would sure add diversity to local government, as well as turning the pot upside down. Here is where I wish PaceDog and Markle were still posting, so we could get their opinions on this matter. I mean it was bad enough that a Muslim was elected POTUS in both 2008 and 1012, but now they want to take over LOCAL government!
