I wish it became a real food-fight instead of one strong candidate and a nobody opponent. Earl Hutto never had a real opponent, and neither did Scarborough or Miller.

All Miller's replacement needs to do is promise to fight to keep all District 1 military bases open, and keep all government jobs in the district open and he/she is in.

Must have been offered a cool lobbying position on K Street . . . .

Knot, don't know how  you feel about fee simple title for beach leaseholders (I've been a vocal proponent for many years), but this calls into question what is likely to transpire with Miller's pending federal legislation that would allow it. I've written Grover asking for clarification, as I'm doubtless not the only one wondering tonight.
