The GOP debate on Thursday was a ramshackle affair that only proved that the current crop of Republicans are not ready to assume the highest job in our land. Heck, they even scared my Mother-in-law (a Republican) from voting for anyone but her dog for POTUS this fall. She was that taken aback by the very childish behavior of Trump, Cruz, and Rubio on stage Thursday night. Talk about having no class....

Then we had tonight's Democratic debate by Clinton and Sanders...... It was a stirring debate that got a little raucous at times, but without the childishness and uncivility displayed so blatantly by the Rs on Thursday. Furthermore, they talked about substantive issues--ones  that the Republicans will not touch; and I find it so refreshing to see the debate stage take on more than the issue of terrorism and building a wall to keep out illegal immigrants.

There was a difference of night and day between the two debates this week, for sure!

Thoroughly agree, Z-man.  And you'll recall that Clinton called attention to that very difference during the debate.  Got loud applause.

If you had to pick a "winner" of tonight's Dem debate, being as objective as possible regardless of the candidate you favor, who would it be?  Just curious.

Compared to the spectacle the whole world saw Thursday night, they both won!

Spoken like a true politician.  Maybe YOU should run.   Seriously, though -- good answer, and true.

Yes the Republican debate was real, honest and many relevant questions were asked and answered. The other was basically staged with two people arguing who would make this a Socialist state first. That and throwing mud at each other. Bernie just would let Hillary keep interrupting him.

I loved the republican debate best when Trump and Rubio traded insults about the size of their dicks. And I figured out why Cruz doesn't have any freckles ... they slide off.

The next Republican comedy show (er.. I mean primary 'debate') airs on CNN this coming Thursday at 7:30 PM.

I wonder if it will be as rowdy and lacking in substance as the last two GOP primary debates? Will Trump, Rubio, and Cruz finally have a wrestling match on the floor before the whole world on television?

How is that NOT the fault of the moderators?

Ooh, looky here! Poster Markle is blaming the Fox News moderators for the bad behavior of Trump, Rubio, and Cruz on the debate stage last Thursday night.

Maybe they should all just stay home this coming Thursday, and John Kasich, who did not act outrageously during the last two debates, can answer all of the questions fielded by himself. Kasich seems to not be affected by any of the moderators.

And, had you watched the debate, you would know that, although raucous at times, as was the Democrat debate, good questions were asked and answered.

This time, I admit Markle's right. There were good questions asked ... it was the answers that were bizarre and stupid.
