Senator Al Franken.....the chances of Senate hearings better than you think on Supreme Court

I just heard him interviewed by Chuck Todd and he clearly indicated that the chance of hearings are a lot better than people think. Reasonable senators are scared to death what is going to happen in the fall, and now they can get a moderate justice when in January there is a good chance that a radical could be appointed. I have predicted that the senate may not be in Mitch's control on this issue. Not even having hearings is unprecedented.

After Tuesday, Trump will be the presumptive nominee, and even the dumbest conservative Senator does not have any guarantee that Trump would pick any better than a compromise moderate nominee from the President. I believe Franken's insight is right on the target.
