This base is absolutely necessary to keep the illusion of a war. The Military Industrial Complex has to create the fiction that terrorism is fought by war, rather than the world's criminal justice systems. It is an essential fiction which must be perpetuated. I just drove on Interstate 65 south of Montgomery where a section of the highway has been dedicated to the "war on terrorism".....this concept is absurd.

Terrorists are criminals. They face criminal sanctions. If a nation state supports state sponsored terrorism, and the policy is to attack that nation state, then the concept of war becomes legitimized, but you cannot fight a war against ideas and non nation states. It is a fatal flaw which can only bring victory to the terrorists who exploit the oligarchs control over our congress which further depletes our wealth under absurd concepts.

This story highlights what I don't like about Rubio. I have had CNN playing in the background today and overheard Rubio on the campaign trail stating his opposition to the Guantanamo closure. The problem there is that he never really addressed Obama's actual proposal. Instead, he spoke about how "We shouldn't just give an entire naval base to a communist government." Ok? Who is suggesting that we do that?

The CNN analysts pointed out that Obama has only proposed closing the detention facility, and that there are no plans to give an "entire naval base to a communist government".

When you can't compete in the arena of ideas...

Rubio is the Neocon shill who jumps and fetches for their evil agenda. Rubio I think is a pretty good guy, and not evil like Cruz. However, he is owned by evil who need his shiny little boy appearance to hide the evil agenda of the Neocons.

The biggest mistake was capturing them in the first place. Plan B should have been removing them to a remote area of the country where they were caught and turning them loose.

But as long as you don't mind them being transferred to a prison near you........

This may come as a royal shock to you but these folks are NOT guilty of having robbed a convenience story as was Michael Brown.

They are, as you know, enemy combatants. They, and we, are quite safe where they are.

Other than intentionally releasing more terrorists to join the GROWING terrorist movement, what other purpose could Lame Duck President Obama have for damaging our country and the rest of the world?
