Bergosh is running to fill the vacancy for the District 1 County Commission seat (to be vacated by the retiring Wilson Robertson).
All we need to do is add his personality to the already extremely dysfunctional Escambia County BOCC, and that body will become crippled beyond measure.
I voted for Jessy Casey in 2012, and have not yet decided whether I will vote for him or for Karen Sindall. I will not vote for Bergosh.

No doubt, Bergosh does have name recognition as an Escambia County School Board member, and this will lead the sheep in District 1 to elect him as our commissioner. After all, we elected Mike Whitehead twice, and then replaced Whitehead with Wilson Robertson.
Our BOCC was almost entirely sacked by Governor Bush in 2001 because of scandal, and replaced by his appointees. The BOCC has never matched the efficiency of the mostly appointed board; before or since.

OK thanks, boards -- I do remember this now. But is Bergosh an active forum member here, under any name? In any event my husband is in complete accord with Z-man about this person. I certainly don't feel any warm and fuzzies about the guy, either. He sure does manage to get face time in the news, though, doesn't he, whether positive or negative (mostly the latter, from what I can tell)? And that name recognition will -- I'm afraid Z-man is right -- likely end up winning Bergosh the BOCC spot. Ugh. Not my district, thank goodness, but still affects all of us in the county.

I do not think(100% sure) Bergosh is a member here. Not enough public participation aND views. The PNJ forum was having around 500,000 hits a day...when hot topics were involved. Topics concerning BOCC, the park, etc.

It's always seemed to me the county has a small vision. Keep the good ol' boy network in jobs and to heck with the county. I could be wrong. But driving around from my Mom's house to the inlaws' house I see a good part of the county that is ridiculously in shambles. So much potential...

Keep the good ol' boy and rich old Pensacola money hungry boys network. What other waterfront city would sell prime waterfront (The old Auditorium ) to a local buddy to put up office buildings and surround the building with a tiny park ? Same thing when we had a waterfront MRI facility at the same area. Who benefitted from that?
