In other words, the authorization allows the president to deploy the military anywhere at his discretion – both foreign and domestic – for as long as he wants.

I'm sure everyone here has seen some post apocalyptic movie where there are groups of douchebags who travel around, armed to the teeth, as they rape and pillage every commune they can find in the absence of law and order.  We've all seen The Postman, The Road, The Walking Dead.  Think of the guy from The Postman who - prior to the fallout - was a copy-machine salesman.  But armed to the teeth in the post apocalyptic world, he was a warrior!  A general!  He could rape any woman he wanted and could take anything from anyone that he wanted.   We all can recognize who among us would turn into that type of douchebag should we ever end up in post apocalyptic times, and these types are generally portrayed the same in the movies.  They're very easy to identify as they're older, single and living alone, whiter, less educated, incredibly misogynistic and incredibly resentful towards women, and they're always well armed in the pre-apocalyptic world.  And I bet they long for martial law.  They want it so bad!  They want it so badly that it frequently appears before them as a mirage.  Oh!  Oh!  This may be the time!  This may be the time!  And each time, they are the brunt of a chorus of laughter.  HAHAHAHAHA.  Look, everyone!  The village idiot is calling for martial law again!

But you're too young and immature to understand what that accomplishes.
All that would accomplish is to make teo even more homophobic.  That's the way it works with all bigotry.
Much better to avoid that.  And instead try to convey who and what I am and what I'm feeling.  Try to help them understand what it's like to be an object of their bigotry.  And more than anything try to make them understand that the stereotype they have in their minds is absolutely not who and what I am.

And yes he is a good guy regardless of all that.

If I actively protest Homosexuals and say they are damned then I am a religious bigot  using the Bible to allow me to think I am better than gays....god likes me better stuff...taint so...he loves all his children..

Yeah I was talking to girl on the bed next to me at therapy about eating monkey brains...yes that's icky to me....don't want to it, don't want to see it, wouldn't watch a TV show with a fine lookin woman cook showing how to prepare your monkey.....
