To think that Bob and I driving our Prius vehicles started the slide.........and of course a composite cork which revolutionized fracking in America and the world opening up old fields and flooding the market with supply while China slows down the demand. Now lets get solar and wind fired up and finish the job.

The dollar gets stronger and all that talk of the dollar no longer being the currency of oil has gone where? Fracking has created a twenty year energy variance and America is now king of the hill. World trade has made us all richer, but fair trade is essential. Stock prices mean little, in the short term, but if the Chinese manipulate of their currency collapse our exports get more expensive, then we lose manufacturing and our higher skilled jobs to unfair and dumping. I am much more worried about a political environment which will talk about trade wars and trump will lead the pack with easy answers rather than the drill down enforcement of our current agreements.

This is an exciting time. Man is producing more energy than we are consuming and the free market is responding, and the beauty of this is the window of opportunity to grow renewable and actually have the world become more productive and all within improving conservation of the world's resource. Short term economic dislocation cannot stop the exciting macro trends.

and the feds funny money. The money bubble is going to bust... there's really no other viable outcome.

So (& this is for all of you) ... if you had 100k just languishing in a money-market account right now & didn't need it to pay off any debts or for living expenses in the next 5 years at least  ... what would you do with it in the next few months.

The real estate bubble is growing nicely again. But seriously... I'm waiting for the crash and throw it back into the market. I don't think it will go as low as the last one... but I am sure that the govt and fed will throw money at the problem.

Edit: I don't think investing in energy right now would be a bad move if you were feeling froggy.

Cash flow......it used to be asset appreciation and funny money, now it is good old American ingenuity and hard work in a business pro forma which produces cash......cash is king in a deflationary cycle, and I have friends who cashed out millions from great businesses and they pulled the trigger too soon worrying about all the negative vibes.....now they are pounding sand on low returns, and kicking themselves in the asz for letting go of cash cows that they worried about crashing values.

Give me a 100k and maybe I would sell olive oil downtown.......
