Thank goodness.

This offseason has been loooong.

All my baseball interests suck out loud, there's nothing good on TV, and it will provide a welcome to distraction to all the political nonsense.

I'll switch back and forth between the Michigan-Utah game and the TCU-Minnesota game tonight.

I am already excited. I watched a local HS televised game last Friday night.

I would rather watch squirrels fuss than football and it's silly fans and their inane rivalries.

If you want some real cheap fun, attend a local high school football game. $5.00 to get in, and go sit with the adults. They have more fun than the kids who sit in the student booster section do.

Just stay off the clock tower and stick to watching the squirrels as your hobby.

More fun than the kids who sit in the student booster section, but less fun than the kids under the bleachers.

...but less fun than the kids under the bleachers.

That reminds me of a joke I heard when I was in the 7th Grade:

"Have you read the book Under the Bleachers, by Seymour Butts?"

Then you would answer with the retort: "That was as funny as a flood in a Fizzies factory."

They to do not follow sports either.......mental health issues are not limited to one party or the other, and not finding joy and satisfaction in sporting events is not a perfect indicator, but you rarely find a clinically depressed sports fan.......well if the Cubs miss the playoffs, I might have to amend the rule.

You can follow games without having to watch them here:

I keep this page open on my computer on game days.

This Monday, OSU at Virginia Tech looks like one I will definitely watch.

Saturday's Louisville-Auburn matchup is the game to watch.

I was not impressed with either Carolina team.

Looking forward to Clemson's games this season.  Notre Dame is now in the ACC so that will be a win/win when they meet. Like both.

TCU was certainly underwhelming.

TCU was certainly underwhelming.

Nope.....Jerry Kill's teams are just that good. MN will be a team to watch in the big Ten. His record of winning is certain. TCU is the real deal.

OSU vs VT should be a good game tomorrow.

I watched Auburn/Louisville yesterday, and after that I watched UF/NMSU.

Auburn looked good, and I think Louisville will also have a good season, even though they lost.

I think that under coach Jim McElwain, the Gators are going to be back into contention. Their O-line is very green, but made some explosive plays yesterday. It will be interesting to watch them go up against conference rivals and other teams that are better than the team they played yesterday. The 61-13 score, and the fact that UF drew no penalties until almost the end of the game, shows that McElwain is running a tight ship that surely will be tweaked as the season progresses.

In any case, football is back!!!!!!!!!

The Nebraska coach dropped the ball. He attempted a field goal where if it was missed it would only take a couple plays for a field goal, instead they throw a hail mary and win the game........you punt instead of the field goal attempt and make them earn 60 yards with no time outs and less than a minute. How do these people get to be head coaches?
