Looks like the furenurs did not win the day and buy enough votes. The Saudis, Israel, and MIC are pounding on sand as it appears the vote will be vetoed and not enough votes to overturn the veto. Who would have thought some folks actually in Congress would vote for American interests. All those scardy cat ads and all that money into the campaign coffers of traitors.....and still cannot get American wealth and kids to die in the Middle East....who would have thunk.

Boehner: Congress Doesn't Have Votes to Stop Iran Deal

http://www.bloombergview.com/articles/2015-04-27/boehner-congress-doesn-t-have-votes-to-stop-iran-deal

The top ranking Republican in Congress privately acknowledged this weekend that his party doesn't have enough votes to overcome a veto of any resolution disapproving the nuclear-weapons deal President Barack Obama hopes to reach with Iran.

It looks like Bibi and his allies win the kewpie-doll.....

The lame duck is starting to look like Godzilla in Tokyo. American kids not getting killed and maimed, and debt finally being reduced. It does not get any better. Thank you President Obama and SOS Kerry. Your patience and hard work has given us a chance to achieve real peace in the Middle East.

The fix was already in on this agreement when Congress passed the Iran Nuclear Agreement Review Act last spring in which they tied their own treaty approval hands ...... thus allowing certain congresspersons (R & D alike) from districts with heavy Jewish or Christian Zionist constituencies and/or campaign donors to now wail & rend their garments over it and vote against .... all the while knowing it's gonna pass anyway, 'cause a lot of them already voted for the enabling legislation last spring that makes it nearly impossible to defeat.

I am a strong supporter of Israel, but their antics and the Saudi antics in the last five years has been to keep American kids in the middle east......Americans can still support Israel, but not by throwing young lives away for goals of another nation. We have always been there for Israel. We have always been there for the Saudi monarchy, and maybe not for the people, but they both want us to go bankrupt and have our kids killed by remaining there fighting their creation in ISIS.....Enough. Traitors will have their day of reckoning. Americans must care about our interests and our kids interests. This treaty is a chance for lasting peace in the Middle East.

Yes, but then you have the Zionist Christian evangelical fundamentalists who absolutely believe their interpretations of scripture show that the Zionist-capture of Palestine in 1948 was an act of God. According to them, we are in the 'end times' and if we do not completely kiss Israel's ass, our nation is toast. Those folks would sacrifice untold numbers of our children and mountains of our treasure for Israel's sake, because according to them, God mandates that we do this.

The more turmoil in the Middle East, the happier these folks are. War with Iran fits really well in their view of the world. Many of their pastors will likely be ranting on this stuff from the pulpit tomorrow morning.

If Israel is so important why are they just a smelly little band of bigots kept safe by Uncle Sam who is constantly sending them millions in aid...? You would have thought they would have been running the whole show by now if god were on their side...instead they are just a bunch of false flagging backstabbing cowards making war by deception.......

The U.S. provides Israel $10.2 million* in military aid each day,
while it gives the Palestinians $0** in military aid

“Since the October War in 1973, Washington has provided Israel with a level of support dwarfing the amounts provided to any other state. It has been the largest annual recipient of direct U.S. economic and military assistance since 1976 and the largest total recipient since World War ll. Total direct U.S. aid to Israel amounts to well over $140 billion in 2003 dollars. Israel receives about $3 billion in direct foreign assistance each year, which is roughly one-fifth of America's entire foreign aid budget. In per capita terms, the United States gives each Israeli a direct subsidy worth about $500 per year. This largesse is especially striking when one realizes that Israel is now a wealthy industrial state with a per capita income roughly equal to South Korea or Spain.”

I think there has to be consequences for bad behavior. A fifty percent drop in aid to Israel, Saudi Arabia, and Egypt over the next ten years would send a certain message. We have your back, but when you try to manipulate our country like our children's blood does not matter, well we are not going to keep feeding the region with military aid....maybe it is time for some compromises and real peace discussions which make Israel more safe, and MIC poorer.

Guess that's why the Palestinians fight back with what amounts to Chinese fireworks while getting hit hard with high tech made in merica munitions....

We give as much in military aid to the rest of the Middle East allies as well. You brazenly left that out of any of your stats. Much of it is military. We give no military aid to Palestinians because they aren't a country with a government./army. They are a group that is used by the aforementioned Middle East allies against Israel.

We can't do that, as Bibi would then launch one of his Jericho nuclear-tipped missiles at Washington, DC.

Well, at least that would put an end to Israel's so-called 'nuclear opacity'.

And defeat for the world.

Your world perhaps, but for patriotic Americans who care about our fellow citizens and care about the wealth of this country being applied to Americans....but you do not care about Americans or their kids who get killed fighting for Profits for MIC or other nations battles.......the world is in agreement finally with American policy....sanity has set in.....and you are outside looking in........

The world is better off with a treaty than another war of aggression. That is the bottom line. I'm sorry you're too stupid to see the obvious...or just such a liar that you don't care.

Washington (CNN)—A growing majority of Americans are turning against the nuclear deal with Iran and believe Congress should reject the deal brokered between the U.S., five other world powers and Iran.

As Congress inches closer to a vote to approve or disapprove of the deal, 56% of Americans now say they think Congress should reject the deal with Iran -- up from 52% less than a month ago -- according to the latest CNN/ORC poll released Thursday.

And 6-in-10 Americans also disapprove of President Barack Obama's handling of the U.S. relationship with Iran, according to the poll.

The agreement is with Iran, not Iraq. Why are you such a suck-up to those who champion conflict in a sensitive part of the world, instead of diplomacy? Oh, I forgot.... You are a right-wing neocon.
