Yes those folks migrated to the Republican Party in the seventies and the Dixiecrats are now the Republican Party, the Republican Party and the Democratic Party have been changed with this switch pursuant to the Republican Party southern strategy.

I cringed when the Dixiecrats were jumping into the Republican Party.  My entire family in Alabama who were FDR fanatics suddenly were not voting democratic and had switched to the Republican Party.  They were strong segregationist now quite at home in the Party which stood for everything they did not believe.  It was an incredible switch and it is easily defined as the evil which drives the Republican Party in 2015.  However, this monolithic confederacy is changing.  Texas is going blue in 2020, and Virginia is already there.   Florida looks like it will be blue.......so the Republican party is shrinking in its hate and exclusion.

Fact is those dems were reelected as dems for decades.

Yep Hillary is going to be charged criminally and the Republican Party stands for equality and equal opportunity for black citizens in America........PK does not believe for a second what he writes.   It is all comedy.  The Southern strategy was a figment of Seaoat's imagination, and the Democratic Party which was the majority party of the old confederacy states has now been replaced by the republican party and this change is because the folks in these states believed in freeing the slaves and equal opportunity for black citizens......yep....pretty consistent argument for PK, and that guy who got hit in the head with a bat who sits on the corner counting birds.
