Valarie Jarrett's father-in-law Vernon Jarrett was a radical, Communist Journalist in Chicago at the same time as semi-retired President Obama's mentor in Hawaii, Frank Marshall Davis. Being that they were in Chicago at the same time, and both were journalists and Communist it is highly likely the knew each other.

Interesting that after Davis, from Chicago, had been Obama's mentor from childhood to the time he went to College suddenly has vast connections and opportunities in...Chicago.
