A tiny country in Africa – the U.S. Government is spending $5M tax dollars this year to reduce child labor in Burkina Faso cotton farming and informal artisanal gold mining industries. Meanwhile back home at the ranch, about 15 million children live below the federal poverty level. Yep, 21% of all children in the U.S. are living in poverty. Unemployment is still through the roof but our illustrious government can still put its paws on money to ship overseas for questionable grants. When is the U.S. going to quit sending money to these backward countries where it is just siphoned off by corrupt government “officials” with very little (if any) going to the intended purpose.
