We know what President Obama and democrats would like to see happen as a way to help the middle class. I also know how most of you on here feel about those proposals. What I would like to know is what specific ideas the GOP is putting forward to help the middle class.
Anyone?

Consider: Candidates for election from both political parties require campaign funding from ultra-rich oligarchs or mammoth corporations. Does anyone in this forum think that helping the middle class to prosper is on the agenda of any of those oligarchs or companies?

You all know I'm correct on this. Without a healthy middle class, America will surely fail.

Who in hell is going to represent us in a government dependent on financial support from major campaign financers?

Screw Amerika Inc.! Corporate control of our government through campaign financing.

There are substantive policies which help the middle class. Returning the upper tax brackets to former rates of taxation. Reduction of debt. Improved minimum wages, and greater tax credits for families. Dischargeability of student loans in bankruptcy, and lower tax rates for the middle class.

Not two heads on the same snake.......that is simply idiocy.

You're right. It's time for a new revolution!

I'd be more than satisfied if the country got back the superb economy and brilliant middle class progress present during Clinton's reign.

With the ultra rich buying elections (the Kochs are pledging nearly a billion dollars to buy the next one) the oligarchs are a new Third Party -- one designed to add to their profits at the cost of the workers of this country.

Don't kid yourself that the middle class will slide into poverty without a fight. There are a lot of places where Marx was right. Essentially, we are engaged in a seemingly endless conflict between a narrowing bunch of incredibly wealthy people and institutions who insist on ruling over the rest of us. If you believe the rich should have the right to rule over us, it doesn't really what label you call yourself -- to the rest of us you are our enemy.
