USPS leases 10k trailers but can't track them or confirm their receipt. U.S. Postal Service officials spent more than $39 million leasing trailers last year, but they have no way of tracking their locations or even confirming that they exist, according to a government watchdog.

There should be bipartisan hard work in congress to address inefficient and broken government. In 1968, Congressmen were working twice as much as a congressman today. Almost half the time of a congressman today is fundraising and working for reelection. It is not surprising that congress in their role of oversight is failing miserably. The items you have outlined are pennies in the billions of dollars of unscrutinized subsidy and special legislation which is hurting America. It starts with campaign finance reform. It ends with congress working and doing the business of this country. Gridlock is only part of the problem. The structural problems of people committing the time necessary for good government is going to take everybody working for America.

The items I listed were 2 of ten in the article.  I understand that there is far greater waste, fraud and abuse going on.  But some do not know that it exists or its huge extent.  Yes, the current batch in Congress have earned their "Do Nothing" label.  I'm not sure what the answer is, but it is certainly not being addressed.
