They’re already making excuses.


White House spokesman Josh Earnest told reporters today the midterm elections don’t represent a “true national election.”

The statement is correct if a national election is running for President. I would disagree with that definition. Congress and all seats therein are a national election. Certainly, two different animals, but a national election is not limited to the office of president and vice president.
