Utter desperation from the Democrats.  Here Sen. Mary Landrieu (D-La.), who has won three elections...in the South is making these vile, racist and sexist comments.

Democratic Sen.: Obama Unpopular in the South Because It’s ‘Not Always Been the Friendliest Place for African-Americans’

Oct. 31, 2014 9:52am   Madeleine Morgenstern

Sen. Mary Landrieu (D-La.) said President Barack Obama is unpopular in Louisiana partially due to his race.

“I’ll be very, very honest with you. The South has not always been the friendliest place for African-Americans,” Landrieu told NBC News Thursday. “It’s been a difficult time for the president to present himself in a very positive light as a leader.”

Landrieu, who has been trailing Republican opponent Rep. Bill Cassidy in recent polls ahead of Tuesday’s midterm elections, said women have also had to work harder to “present” themselves because it’s “more of a conservative place.”

An old white babyboomer's take on racial relations in the south......hmmmm. Out of touch would be too kind.

She went on to observe, "water is wet".

How then was she elected and re-elected three times in the past. Especially since we are so much more of a united nation since semi-retired President Obama took office. Seems it would be so much easier.

Why don't you run your poster about people who vote for a living instead of working for it. You know, the one with the black kid drinking on the stoop.

Sal's comment is perfect: Water is wet. And it's absolutely true that black Americans are not nor ever have been favored or even looked at as equals in the south.

Reality!

It's against the law to discriminate by race... etc. Racism is on the way out... atleast as fast as can be in human nature.

Using a noble cause for political purposes is disgusting and both cheapens and harms what all should agree with.

Stop exploiting groups of citizens.

Racism has and always will be prevalent in society. It's passed down from generation to generation. The only thing that's changed is they're not as vocal about it. Being against the law has never stopped people.

Attempting to force people to change has the exact opposite. Known well by semi-retired President Obama who, with his comrades NEEDS a sharply divided nation.

Racism, discrimination, prejudice, until the administration of semi-retired President Obama had been in decline for 70 years. Between an endless list of race-baiters including President Obama and his wife, it has declined ever since. Shameful.
