In her 18 months in charge, Pierson also became the subject of derision among some lower-level agents for accommodating the White House staff’s wishes for less-cumbersome security over the warnings of her tactical teams.

In the spring, Pierson was irate at what she considered the excessive security measures her team had planned for the U.S.-Africa Leaders Summit, which Obama hosted this summer, demanding that it dismantle extra layers of fencing and reopen closed streets, according to two agency supervisors. Supervisors who had mapped out the security plan said they were taken aback when Pierson, who worked during high school at Walt Disney World as a costumed character and park attendant, said: “We need to be more like Disney World. We need to be more friendly, inviting.”…

Secret Service teams have insisted on the closure for years because Netanyahu is considered one of the most sought-after international targets. But the director agreed to changes because of D.C. Mayor Vincent C. Gray’s concern that the street’s closure during an earlier visit caused severe gridlock, said a spokesman for Gray (D).

Seems there are solid reason why the Secret Service is in such turmoil. It is supposed to be run more like Disney World. Maybe instead of sunglasses and ear pieces, they could wear furry heads?

Taking SS from Treasury was a huge mistake, just like NO we could be saying that FEMA being moved to Homeland security was a "you are doing a great job Brownie......moment. If anybody thinks this is simply personalities and ad hominum attacks, these problems are deeper and systemic, and the President could say your doing a heck of a job Brownie, but why was this taken from treasury and who was responsible? If anybody thinks this resignation solves anything they are a wrong ........it is only the first step.

Where did anyone say this resignation would solve anything? We have an entire corrupt administration.

The question is, how was she appointed in the first place? The Secret Service should be more like...Disney World?

I have been waiting for your proof for years. Multiple committees and NOTHING. Not one person has been arraigned or charged. You need to add to your list the Easter Bunny......because last time I checked he has not arrived yet..........of course Goober is going to go get em.
