http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2775047/Report-White-House-intelligence-gap-Obama-skipping-FOUR-seven-daily-briefings.html

But he can blame the choices he makes on the intel community.....sheeeesh. You know the guy can't understand an intel brief given to him on an Ipad. There's no way...

Guys with stars on their shoulders and three decades of experience ask questions and want clarification after an intel brief....and Obama is none of that at all. He just doesn't care.

The Daily Mail (aka, Hate Mail, Daily Fail, Daily Heil, Daily Moan and so on), is a reactionary tabloid rag masquerading as a "traditional values," middle-class newspaper that is, in many ways, the worst of the British gutter press (only Rupert Murdoch's Sun is worse). Its weighty Sunday counterpart is the Mail on Sunday.
The Daily Mail is to the U.K. what the New York Post is to the United States, and what the Drudge Report is to the Internet: to wit, gossipy tabloid "journalism" for those who cannot digest serious news, with a flippantly wingnut editorial stance. The Daily Mail is notable among British tabloids for rejecting the standard red-top banner in order to try to appear more upmarket and respectable, although it does sometimes go in for the full front-page picture or headline characteristic of the working class rags. It is also notorious for its frequent harassment of individuals, campaigns of hate directed at various minorities, and willfully deceiving and lying to its readers.

The President is updated on serious foreign developments continually, and doesn't need to attend the daily debriefings. He has staff that keep him updated on issue they believe are relevant and require his decisions.

Perhaps PDawg can name a current general who can find his ass with both hands in the dark ...

His staff is as incompetent as he is

He sure seems to learn of things from the media more than I would expect... and has NO knowledge fairly often too.

The last liberal POTUS to
Get out of the way of his generals
And let
Them lead the war was Roosevelt.

Obama's arrogance towards his generals is second only to that of Adolph Hitler. At least hitler had two iron Crosses for bravery in WWII

The article did not directly quote the general as saying anything overtly insubordinate.

New York  Times April 2011

WASHINGTON — An inquiry by the Defense Department inspector general into a magazine profile that resulted in the abrupt, forced retirement of Gen. Stanley A. McChrystal has found no proof of wrongdoing by the general, his military aides and his civilian advisers.

Pentagon investigators said they were unable to confirm the events as reported in the June 2010 article in Rolling Stone, and found the evidence “insufficient” to demonstrate a violation of Defense Department standards.

The profile prompted a furious debate about whether the commander’s staff had used insubordinate language, and about the professionalism of General McChrystal’s team. He was recalled by the president, accepted responsibility for his staff’s actions and resigned.

Why did Hitler give himself two iron crosses for bravery in WWII?

Oh, I get it.... Your fingers are too fat for the little keyboard on an iPhone.......

I hate texting and try to avoid it as much as possible..... you should just push the buttons a little more slowly. Wink

If Obama received daily briefings-- daily-- why did he, or as he said, "we underestimated ISIS?

The same reason George Bush invaded for WMD's. He was given the information from intelligence.

The intelligence has improved ...it improved because of Bush and General Stanley McChrystal. The "Gorelik Wall" during the Clinton era was the problem.

"In the four years since the inspectors left, intelligence reports show that Saddam Hussein has worked to rebuild his chemical and biological weapons stock, his missile delivery capability, and his nuclear program.
He has also given aid, comfort, and sanctuary to terrorists, including al Qaeda members ...
It is clear, however, that if left unchecked, Saddam Hussein will continue to increase his capacity to wage biological and chemical warfare, and will keep trying to develop nuclear weapons."

Again, Pres. Obama nor Hillary Clinton are sitting there doing their own intelligence. Apparently, our intelligence hasn't improved all that much.

The same intelligence agencies that advised bush? That he solely takes all the blame for in leftist land?

Double standards are very useful. I wish people could look at the results without the ideological party lenses.

Bush revamped the intelligence network......McChrystal did it.

Obama is operating under advanced intelligence. It has absolutely improved........not the same as Clinton and the early Bush presidency, for damn sure.
