I think nearly every action of govt should be transparent and certainly disclosed after risks have passed... radical I know.

All the President's before Obama would have blown a gasket, any ex military knows what Snowden and the new leaker has done (giving away top secrets) is treasonous. You can say what you want about Obama committing treason (which he has not) but these guys should be imprisoned for life.

I don't think obama himself has done anything treasonous... but the govt collecting our data w no due process is.

Clapper flat lied to congress about that... and it would've ended there if not for snowden. I'm glad he exposed it.

The whole whistle blower set up is a total fake. Snowden tried to go through channels to expose the government snooping but got shut down at every turn. Sometimes things get out of control and require more drastic actions such as Snowden's to try and correct them.

There are two story's here. If they simply told the American people, look each and everyone of you are being spied upon (which most of us already knew) that would have been fine. If they give top secret information to foreign government's that would be detrimental to our national security they should be hung.

I was outraged in the 60's that J Edgar Hoover tried to spy on everyone that he did not agree with him or Vietnam, I was pissed when called in to CID and them showing me pictures of myself and a few friend's smoking marijuana at two anti war rally's while on active duty, I could not believe we were being spied upon while off base. I still don't believe that the government should be able to look at every key stroke I make and listen to my conversation's. I am not a threat and the majority of U.S. citizen's are not. They do need to stick with the script and spy on the enemy.
