Sucks for the libs as the gravy train ends as almost as soon as it begins and for the conservatives, we are not taking this for granted. We are not going to celebrate until the camel caravan leaves the WH grounds with the Obummer's family and belongings.

You are going to be so fun to watch on election day......

If your prognostications don't come true, I hope you are man-enough to take the shit that is going to be heaped all over you.

Edited: Markle is going to be fun to watch, too; along with a few others.

As well as it appears Obama is doing in the electoral college it is always good to see things like this. They tend to spur the Obama team and supporters to work even harder. I have my own site for these sorts of things that I trust and it doesn't look anything like the predictions from Colorado. As they say, the only poll that matters is the one on election day. It will be interesting to see who on this forum will be hanging black shrouds over their aviators. From the article:

Berry cautions that just because the model has worked in the past, doesn't mean it will work this time. "As scholars and pundits well know, each election has unique elements that could lead one or more states to behave in ways in a particular election that the model is unable to correctly predict," Berry said in a statement. Some of those factors include the timeframe of the current economic data used in the study (the data used was taken five months before the November election, but Berry and Bickers plan to update it with more current data come September) as well as tight races. States that are very close to a 50-50 split, the authors warn, can fall in an unexpected direction

This is the site I have used since 2006, and it has seemed to be accurate:

The site is pretty but only states when they started and how many visitors they have had. They say nothing about their previous accuracy or inaccuracy. If I had a great batting average it would seem that would be important to display.

Their bias is vividly obvious. They have a button to show the maps without the Rasmussen Polls. Rasmussen was one of the two most accurate polls in 2008 and always us LIKELY VOTERS a much more difficult and expensive polling technique than simply adults or Registered Voters.

Here's the one I go to. He is very thorough and looks at many polls, how they were taken, what their track records are, etc.

It is cruel to dig up old threads showing how raving wingnuts were so sure Romney would waltz into the Whitehouse.

Since they didn't win, now they just want the President impeached....Any reason will do, just do it!

The next four years will be agonizing to some......

What was Romney going to do to make the country "win"? He was not going to reduce the deficit at all. Remember, he wanted to greatly increase defense spending and double the size of the Navy's ship building program. He definitely was a funny-money guy who talked a lot of shit that not enough voters believed or trusted to give him the election.

What devious sick prick would dig up an old thread when some people were questioning other people's intelligence on the election results......and then three months later I am reading this thread yesterday.....and well .....this thread speaks for itself.

Don't you and Peedog get tired of posting silly shit? Nothing you all ever say is accurate.

To me, the lesson to be taken from posting this thread again is to remind readers about the importance of getting their information/news from reliable sources.

It may be comforting to watch programs that massage current events and points of view to match what you wish was a reflection of reality but in the long run the bubble must burst.

Next election cycle I will be going to Nate Silver's site again, not to feel good but to get a clear-eyed look at what is actually going on. He hit the nail on the head and that gives him credibility.
