What is the best type of Medical Id to have.? Do the Paramedic check for the bracelets or necklaces? How about the type that has some of medical history on them?. I need one. Thought I would ask some one who knows. Thanks. All comments appreciated.

Checking for a medical alert bracelet is an important part of the initial patient assessment done by EMT's and paramedics. I can't speak for firemen, but I expect they do it, too.

Thanks for the replies. I think I have line on a good necklace type. Of course I could wear my old "dog" tags if I could find them. LOL Does the "New" Army still wear dog tags?
