The proposed Obama budget was voted on in the US House of Representatives:

For ------ 2
Against -- 413

Democrats (all but two) joined Republicans in rejecting the White House fiscal year 2015 blueprint.  They probably voted against it because Obama submitted his budget a month late, and Congress wanted to send him a message that tardiness will not be tolerated.

The lack of judgement and ideologically induced detachment from reality is stunning... and it drives his every decision.

I agree with both of you. Speaking as a socialist progressive, I'm as unhappy with Mr. Obama as most of the forum members here.

The sad thing is, there's nobody on the horizon any better. Hillary will probably inherit the throne -- and she and her hubby are firm supporters of oligarchy.

No republicans show any likelihood of coming to the middle, where most of us live. They can't -- not if they want to keep Tparty and Dixiecrat votes.

Maybe you see it otherwise ... I'm listening.

That's not what happened.

This was nothing more than a political stunt.

Congress has already agreed to the discretionary spending number for fiscal year 2015 as part of the Murray/Ryan budget agreement.

I'm no happier than you about how business is being done in DC, but at least be honest about what's going on.

Oh... so his budget proposal is just a political stunt... pandering to a targeted audience? Whodathunk?

Who do you suppose that group is? The useless idiots that simply vote for whoever promises them the most shit?

While the enlightened leftists (useful idiots) just nod and smile... all heading for the cliff.

It wasn't even his proposal.

It was a GOP mock proposal.

But, Paul Ryan's budget repealing Obamacare and ending Medicare just passed the House.

lmao

I'm not defending what's going on in DC, I'm just explaining it to you.

Pretty prescient, considering the Ryan budget passed the House only just now.
