Firstly, you and I had an interesting lively conversation on attitudes about government vs private last night. From that conversation I discovered that I have misjudged your smarts and your ability to communicate and I apologize for that. You're obviously a very intelligent person even if you don't share my opinions.
So that leads me to this question...
You have repeatedly referred to yourself as a neocon.
How do you define what that is in your own words? I'm very interested to learn why you're proud to label yourself with that term.
The way I see it, neoconservatives are very closely associated with conceiving the U.S. foreign policy since 9-11 (in both the Bush and Obama regimes).
Neoconservatives believe it's the role of the U.S. to police the rest of the world and to bring democracy to the rest of the world. They have been the primary instigators in a foreign policy which has led to the invasions and decades long occupations of Iraq and Afghanistan.
Are you aligned with people like Lindsey Graham who continue to champion this foreign policy? Even though in my opinion it has proven to be a monumental failure of government policy.
I welcome anyone who shares this belief to comment including Markle who seems to think pretty much the way you do. But I am addressing the question to you because you are the only poster I've ever encountered here who is proud to label himself a neoconservative.
