Perhaps Al Qaeda's flag would not be flying over Fallujah if Bush had not carried out his hare-brained invasion of Iraq.

Yes, everything that Bush's team projected about Iraq proved absolutely true. FALSE.
We would be welcomed as liberators--FALSE.
Iraqi oil revenue would finance Iraq's reconstruction--FALSE.
The mission was accomplished--FALSE (5,000+ American war dead proved otherwise).
The only truth to the whole invasion was that Iraq was projected to fall into civil war once we left. The Al Qaeda flag flying over Fallujah should surprise no one. This enterprise had FAIL written all over it before Bush ordered the invasion.
It does not matter that dozens of stupid politicians agreed that Saddam needed to be overthrown. The result has so far proven them all to be full of caca. We gave Iran a new ally. We revitalized Iraqi oil production so our new enemy, China, could buy up 50% of Iraq's new oil production. Gawd we are stupid!
