WASHINGTON — Violent crime in the United States rose for the second year in a row, a government report said Thursday, indicating that the nation's two-decade decline in crime has ended.

sorry, know when you are being manipulated by selective statistical analysis. Please show me in the USA article where they have shown murder rates which were entirely ignored to try to create an alternative reality.........go directly to the fbi crime stats without this simplistic manipulation of the data ........the rates are straight forward and correct. They are correct when they said we are historic lows of violent crime......but the most important stat is murder.......read your links.

crickets on violent crime rising..amazing lol

The rate of violent victimization increased from 22.6 victimizations per 1,000 persons age 12 or older in 2011 to 26.1 in 2012. Crime not reported to police and simple assault accounted for the majority of this increase.
The rate of property crime increased from 138.7 per 1,000 households in 2011 to 155.8 in 2012.
Violent crime rates increased slightly in 2012 for blacks but remained stable for whites and Hispanics.
In 2012, residents in urban areas continued to experience the highest rate of violent crime

I showed you the GOVERMENT SITE and gave link.

think you need to get on that short bus now.... you've been duped by broken down fuzzy unicorn fbi math LOL

edit to add fbi... because you are crazy if you think violent crime has gone down. I have no idea where you got that.

Mollie Halpern: The FBI’s Crime in the United States, 2012 report shows the number of violent crimes increased when compared to the year before.

David Cuthbertson: The number of violent crimes reported increased 0.7 percent, driven primarily by an increase in murders and aggravated assaults. However, property crimes decreased by 0.9 percent.
