Interest rates

If the supposedly enlightened progressive liberals were really into wealth redistribution they'd be demanding that our savings accounts have a 5% or even much higher interest rate attached to them.

I could use a little more pocket change coming from that direction because it's not worth leaving anything in savings at the current rates.

Better to buy something that I know I can resell for a higher price.

I figured he'd come up with some obtuse reason like how the current interest rate actually does redistribute the money to people and that the Fed is doing a fine job keeping the interest low.
