The huge majority of our police do not wear their caps except at funerals.I wonder why this is. I have have even seen the baldheaded ones directing traffic in the hot sun without their caps. That cap is the mark of authority. It says COP!
I think they should wear them.
Now consider this: When was the last time you saw a motorcycle cop directing traffic without his helmet on? Maybe never. Its a macho thing with them, like their kneehigh boots and jodphurs.

I bought a Pensacola Police Dept ball cap type police hat at a yard sale.
I wore it into J's Bakery and they didn't wanna accept my money for the doughtnuts. I stopped wearing it because I got paranoid I would be busted for impersonating a cop. Still don't know the law on that though.

There used to be a thrift store in Biloxi that received(I guess) all the clothes and such that people left in the Casino Hotel rooms. Once they had a complete Alabama State trooper uniform and always had lot of the Swat team and LEO shirts from different states. Last year i found a ECSO badge in a jacket I bought. I was going to turn it in but I threw in the Bayou Chico from the top of the bridge. LOL

My ex is a cop, and I never tossed on her ball cap and ran down to Milton Bakery hoping to get lucky lol
