I posted a shorthand video in another thread but I thought I would post this in remembrance of my father.  Not used today but it was a very inserting skill.

As a side note, the Typewriters(manual) that we used in the Army were called "Mills" they were all Capital letter with no "Shift"Function. They also had tractor feeds like the early printers for computers. We used 6 ply paper with carbon paper in between each layer. Orange, blue, white, pink, yellow and green. Part of my job was to collect the traffic and the separate it into different stacks. We put the carbon paper into paper bags and burned them every 8 hours. LOL
