This is the thread where we will list all hospital and doctors offices closings.

now this has already been going on before todays mandate. but the fucktards here need to see some results from all their efforts.

Now I know this for a fact that in your area, either someone needs to buy out WFH or one of the others has to go. You do not and have never had enough market share for all 3.

back to closings.

In an ironic twist, Grady Memorial Hospital faces a $45 million funding loss directly related to a new health care law designed to benefit the hospital

Closure of three Southland hospitals may be part of a trend

Although Pacific Health's action stems from a fraud case, experts say that about 10% of the state's hospitals could close within 10 years because of Obamacare.

this thread will be a work of art. Because you need to know.

Almost one-third of 2013 is in the books, and the pressures of the new healthcare environment have affected several different hospitals.

Through the first four months of this year, nine acute-care hospitals have shuttered their doors, and there are rumors of others — such as Long Island College Hospital in Brooklyn, N.Y. — also looking to close.

Here are the nine hospitals that have closed so far in 2013, beginning with the most recent. Note: The following list only includes acute-care hospitals that have completely shut down, not those that have closed services, units or departments.

• Lakeside Health System in Brockport, N.Y., officially closed its 61-bed acute-care hospital, Lakeside Memorial Hospital, in April.

• Earl K. Long Medical Center, a 116-bed hospital in Baton Rouge that is part of Louisiana State University Health, shuttered its doors in April.

• Los Angeles-based Pacific Health Corp. closed all four of its hospitals in California — Anaheim General Hospital, Bellflower Medical Center, Los Angeles Metropolitan Medical Center (and its Hawthorne campus) and Newport Specialty Hospital — after the for-profit chain ran into millions of dollars of legal fines and lawsuits.

• In March, Stewart-Webster Hospital, a 25-bed critical access hospital that had served the Richland, Ga., area for more than 60 years, officially shut down.

• The Texas Department of State Health Services ordered Renaissance Hospital Terrell (Texas) to shut down in February due to patient safety failures.

• Weeks after enforcing layoffs to deal with deteriorating finances, Calhoun Memorial Hospital in Arlington, Ga., officially closed its doors in February.

This is gonna take a while, maybe days for all the states and I havnt even gotten to private physicians yet. What a Face

Central Ga. Hospital Closing ER

The hospital said in a statement that changes in health care are forcing them to adopt a more efficient business model. That includes concentrating on specialized services like substance abuse and mental health treatment.

HAYTI, MO (KAIT)- The Pemiscot Memorial Health Systems in Hayti may be soon be closing their doors.

The hospital is under pressure to make up for the money they are no longer getting through the state which has put them in debt about $4 million dollars.

"Right now, we're in a difficult financial situation," said Jack Pennington, CEO of Pemiscot Memorial Health Services. He said the financial problems stem from reductions in reimbursements.

The move continues a consolidation strategy that dates at least to 2010, when Infirmary Health System announced plans to move its long-term acute care facility from Infirmary West to Mobile Infirmary Medical Center.

Find another scapegoat.....most of these were closing regardless of the Affordable Care Act, but one of the positive impacts will be closures of ineffective and inefficient facilities and rewarding productive facilities.

I talked with a lot of the Doctors at my sites before I retired and they all were at various levels of anger and some determined to retire ASAP. Thank You Obamacare....Maybe we can let some Latin American Doctors in to take their place....

Misguided Medicare Recommendation Would Decimate Rural Health Care 53 of Wisconsin’s 58 Small, Rural Hospitals Impacted”

—A proposal released August 16, 2013 by the federal government would have staggering implications for rural health care across the country and negatively impact almost every rural hospital and community in Wisconsin.

“What a federal agency is proposing is nothing short of astounding,” said Wisconsin Hospital Association President Steve Brenton, referring to a report released by the federal Department of Health & Human Services’ Office of Inspector General (OIG). “These recommendations would decimate 20 years of health care stability and access to care for Medicare beneficiaries in rural communities across America.”

doesn't matter, they need to know.

these people think they know how the industry works because they have some fancy unicorn dream about it lol

their visual is huge bureaucracy with budget cuts is going to equal better care for more people. I laugh and cry at the same time. but pretty much have gotten to the laughing stage of it all.

it will be like this............

After an emergency meeting Tuesday, Vacirca’s clinics decided that they would no longer see one-third of their 16,000 Medicare patients.
http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/wonkblog/wp/2013/04/03/cancer-clinics-are-turning-away-thousands-of-medicare-patients-blame-the-sequester/

its ALL connected n matter what nicey little words or excuses they use. I kow it, you know it. all of in it know it.

people like you have no idea whats going on out here with the survival of our system. all you care about is a victory for your man. what happens to the nation is not your concern. this is very clear.

The good news is that once the industry is fully nationalized you will get a nearly 75% subsidy for federal insurance without penalty for an elite plan and the average federal employee makes over 100k a year. It's good to be the ruling class comrade.
