I aways thought the west side started at W street..not Pace..I never really thought about where it really started tho..it was just what I've heard before..

Technically, the compass rose should be centered on Palafox at Garden. In Pensacola, everything North of Garden has a North address and everything West of Palafox has a West address...

Okay is this same surfnrg that had an Italian girlfriend and was going to live on a house barge on a river in Europe with her..? My memory is kind of foggy....

I am by no means an expert, but when I moved to town my friends who lived on the West Side (all west of W) explained to me that the West Side started at Pace Blvd. But as someone mentioned below, the "West" streets begin somewhere East of there, which was where I had previously assumed the West Side began.

The west side is delineated at the Martines Chicen shack westward to Perdido Key. I have lived in Bellview, Avondale and off Community Drive where Roy Jones used to live.
