i Know it is hard to do but try not to worry. If I am looking at it right it looks like it is headed more North east than any thing. Right now it appears to be over land and that will weaken it. Things might change in a hurry but i dont think there will much to it. We are on the west side of it and I believe that is the weakest side. I will ask Pee Wee and Bingo and see what they say. ‘Nothing’s Been Touched’: Fully-Loaded Cold War Supply Room Found at Calif. High School

There have to be tons of that stuff stored in all manner of places around the country.

Kind of ironic. We had millions of those storage places for emergency supplies in the event of a nuclear attack. Yet Mayor Ray Nagin made no plans or stored any supplies for the citizens of his city. Then he was re-elected.... Go figure.

We're bearing the brunt of her in Tampa so far. It's been raining steadily (occasionally torrentially) since noon yesterday. We've gotten a little over 10" according to my rain gauge. Sea walls have been breached, there is 3' of water on Bayshore Blvd., serious beach erosion, and tornado warnings all day today. Friday, the TV weather-people were saying the only effects we'd feel from Debby was some high surf. Rolling Eyes

Joani, I edited your post on the first picture with brackets around img (before the http:) and /img with brackets around it (just after the .jpg) and it displays on my Preview.

I added the img and /img text as well. The first bracketed img tells the software that there is an image to display, and the bracketed /img tells the software that it is at the end of the image address. All this should be added by the servimg software when doing a post. I don't know why it didn't get added.

Here's an image I have on my web site. I didn't use servimg to post it. Boards, is this a no-no... as long as it isn't a huge image?

That reminds me... that it's time to put some stabilized gas in the generator and make sure it'll fire up. It was kinda expensive, but this Honda generator is whisper quiet and sips fuel.

If you can fine some gas with no ethanol in it, it is much better for your small motors. I dont know about Ala but the little station at Jackson and W handles it, also the old Exxon brothers says they do. http://pure-gas.org/

Okay, bring it on. Our house is now hurricane-hardened to Miami-Dade building code standards. The big oak tree out back was cut down after Ivan tore off its crown back in 2004. We now have a Generac whole-house generator. We are ready.

You can keep the MREs. I remember when they first came out around 1984, and were touted as a big improvement over the old C-Rations. I didn't think they were that much better. Thoughts of MREs reminds me of all of the "professional camping" I did as a U.S. Marine. I did enough of that to never want to sleep on the ground (or even in a tent) in the great outdoors ever again.

Good idea. I DID fill up my gas containers at that former Crazy Exxon Brothers station... And put stabilizer in before filling the cans.
