A John Wayne with talent at that. Her ass kicking performance would put a smile on the Duke's face and should appeal to his fans.

She's a strong lady and a great actress, no doubt about it. I think you're giving John Wayne an undeserved compliment comparing her to him though. She's a lot better at her job then he ever was.

The old actors who were the real big movie stars almost always played themselves. I don't mean to put them down, but todays actors are far more talented than the movie stars of the 40's and 50's.
I'd put somebody like Gene Hackman's skills against any of the John Waynes, Clark Gables, or even Jimmy Stewarts of the old days.
Stewart was good, but he was always Jimmy Stewart.

Good point but I can't imagine many of todays actresses turning in the kind of performance that she did. She is a great actress but in this she should be considered a star for the ages. She walks the walk and talks the talk. See it if you like strong characters seeking justice. Oh and it's funny too.

So, that was Mrs. Lundegaard on the floor in there. And I guess that was your accomplice in the wood chipper. And those three people in Brainerd. And for what? For a little bit of money? There's more to life than a little money, you know. Don'tcha know that? And here ya are, and it's a beautiful day. Well. I just don't understand it.
