I sometimes feel that is exactly what major campaigns like, they have their "loyal base" locked in, if they can drive enough undecideds away from the polls then it levels the field. This whole pres campaign has been "ready, fire, aim" from the outset.

That's a VERY interesting observation! Maybe "ready, aim, fire"?

Nope, "ready, fire, aim" - both sides (PACs mostly) have been firing shots that are not aimed (fact checked). This discredits their message IMHO.

it's not "fair" because it's not equal... a radical thght i know. i was reading my daughters college text books last week... her constitutional law book was even slanted. there can't be objectivity when there is indoctrination.

pkr, did it ever occur to you that it could be YOU who has been indoctrinated? I am not trying to goad or patronize you but what is the depth of your own constitutional knowledge? I studied law and government in college but I sure as heck would not portray myself as a scholar. I believe that good civic minded people have bought into one political mindset and seek edification for their position. Constitutional law , as you know, is very complex and today's laws are the evolution of over 200 years of litigation. Your statement that your daughter's constitutional law book, I am certain, was not the result of some left wing liberal Democrat sitting down in his basement trying to take away your guns or liberties, it is a consensus of qualified people in their fields who write and then it must be approved before publishing. Honestly, I think this phenomena is common and I, too, may very well be afflicted OR it could be we just do this daily back and forth arguing for the sport of it.

you have me at a bit of a disadvantage as I'm not sure who you are and whether we have conversed much or read each others opinions and ideas. if you have known me for awhile then you might also know my political mindset is not that of either major political party... or for that matter any party. That pretty much rules out indoctrination... as i think for myself and my opinions and criticisms are across the board. I've studied the constitution in great detail for decades and follow with great interest case law, precedents, and decisions. perhaps you saw that i predicted the scotus obamacare correctly? and further back the Holder civilian trials debacle? history is revised constantly imo... i'm sorry you don't agree.

Wasn't it the Senator Barack Hussein Obama campaign who OUT SPENT BY A TWO TO ONE margin Senator John McCain to buy the Oval Office.

Yes, Obama did out spend M/P. I do think we knew where the money came from and who gave what and how much. Now there are no limits so people like Sheldon Adelson who now, thanks to the Citizens United case is allowed to give unlimited funds to the so-called non-profit groups (501c3's) and orchestrate elections across the country to suit his goals.
This is different than collecting money from small donors. Sure, Obama also got large sums from different groups in the '08 campaign but even those were limited or capped, weren't they?
Some of the R's money might even be coming from foreign sources, Obama's too for that matter. The problem is we just don't know anymore and that's not a good way to run a campaign.

Sheldon Adelson, the multi-billionaire casino mogul who already spent at least $5 million to help keep Republicans in control of the House next year, reportedly pledged $500,000 to just one House candidate, New Jersey Republican candidate Rabbi Shmuley Boteach.
......
Rabbi Boteach, for his part, lavished praise on Adelson and on the Supreme Court that's been so solicitous of right-wing efforts to buy and sell elections: "I think that Sheldon Adelson will bring democracy to the ninth district of New Jersey. What Citizens United has allowed is a challenger like me to be a real contender against [Rep. Bill] Pascrell."

You're joking right? We THINK we know where the money for Senator Barack Hussein Obama came from? He had huge donors and accepted contributions from overseas on his web site. All the other candidates had turned on a system that would not allow contributions from other countries because they were not legal, not Senator Obama.

What SuperPac paid for the ad claiming that Governor Mitt Romney had killed a woman six years after he left the company AND shy had had insurance?

What SuperPac paid for the adi claiming that Governor Mitt Romney was a FELON?

You need to get your own house in order!

What groups is your good friend and far left convicted felon George Soros supporting?

Don't be sorry, that is America, I appreciate your point of view. Also, my hat is off to you for being a student of law/constitution. At the very least you base your views on knowledge and I'm all about that. Yes we have exchanged views and as a hint I'm a KY Wildcat fan . . . .

[/quote]So you're good with all the super pac money flowing into the campaign from both sides? It doesn't bother you that it doesn't need to be identified as to the source? Don't you want to know who is paying for the ads you watch?
