There are monsters who feed the evil of this system, and there are some remarkable people who have worked in communities to make rescue adoptions viable alternatives. These people give so much and our last two adoptions, the paperwork and interviews are designed to make sure people and the pet are a good fit. I shared an office with somebody who never stopped breeding, and made a healthy profit off each dog. He claimed he was responsible, but he was not. He was greedy.
