I hope the couple are successful in building their dream, and to hell with the neighbors. More Mob lynchings. What will the politburo decide is inappropriate next.

They should not be able to overturn the decision AFTER construction has already started.

well tuff shit for the old neighbors. I do sympathize with the old neighbors though because the new neighbors will lower the value and historical mood of the area.

Its pretty brazen of these folks to move to a historical area and build a modern home. Its about as cute as moving in a mobile home smack dab in the middle of suburbia lol

Bet they don't get invited to too many cook outs.

Although I believe in building what you want, I question why these people bought a lot in an historical area and decided to build a modern house?

Exactly. If anyone understands different periods of architecture it should be an architect. Why they wanted to build that house there is anyone's guess. They should have sort of guessed that this would not go over in that area. Maybe they were just looking for drama in their lives? And the zoning board or whoever it was that okayed it was crazy too. I sure don't think they should have to tear it down but it probably wasn't the best decision any of these people ever made.

The house has that Frank Lloyd Wright look to it. He built to get away from the boxed in room styles of the Victorian. Maybe this could be a historic statement for the neighborhood.

And honestly...if that's an historic area they need to spruce up a bit.

Amazing to me if it is that restricted that the lot was sold and house plans approved.

Something seems awry beyond the style of the house.
