I decided to make some bruschetta linguini for lunch today. Generally brushetta calls for roma tomatoes, but today I felt like using grape tomatoes. All in all, it turned out really well.
All you really need for this dish is grape tomatoes, garlic, fresh basil, linguini, olive oil, salt, pepper, and crushed red pepper flakes.

Start the linguini...

While the linguini is going, half the grape tomatoes, finely chop the basil stocks, and coarsely chop the basil leaves. When there is five minutes left on the linguini, add the halved grape tomatoes and garlic to a fry pan on medium heat with olive oil. At this point, add salt, pepper, and crushed red pepper flakes to your taste.

After the tomatoes and garlic have sauted for a minute, add the basil stalks...

When you are down to one minute left on the linguini, add the basil leaves...

Drain the pasta...

Remove the fry pan from heat, add the pasta, and then toss it all together. You may want to add a little more olive oil over the top as well...

I forgot, there is one more ingredient. Get a block of parmesian arigiano ready to grate over the top of everything...

Plate and grate...

You may want to add some garlic bread...
