A freakishly massive winter storm named Atlas dumped up to 20 feet of snow on cattle ranches in South Dakota. Read more:

Usually, after weather catastrophes such as this, these ranchers could count on the govt to help get them back on their feet.  No, not right now. The govt shutdown the GOP planned and set into action has stopped any application processes from even starting. This will only get worse the longer the Republican temper-tantrum lasts. Thanks ultra-conservative voters who put the incompetent tea baggers in power.
Thanks a bunch.

The snow storms in the north never get the massive aid like New Orleans unless it's in the cities like Detroit or Chicago.. The floods every year or two that wipe out thousands of acres of farmland and hundreds of houses along the Missouri and James Rivers never get the aid either because they take care of things themselves and neighbors help neighbors, not depend on taxpayer money to rebuild everything..
