What if his football team loses an ongoing federal trademark lawsuit? Would he consider changing it then?
"We'll never change the name," he said. "It's that simple. NEVER — you can use caps."
You can't trademark a racist slur, so if the lawsuit finds "redskins" to be a racial slur (which it is), Snyder will lose control of his team's name and brand.
There's too much money at stake for him to hold out for long, and even if he tried, Roger Goodell would bring him to heel pretty quick.
