Home invasion robbery with a knife.

Zoom Allen Coydell Carey
Zoom David Lee Clark More
Two Pensacola men are behind bars after authorities said they forced their way into a Beverly Parkway home and robbed a couple at knife point.

Escambia County deputies arrested Allen Coydell Carey, 37, of the 8800 block of Pine Forest Road, and David Lee Clark, 34, of the 700 block of West Belmont Street on multiple home invasion charges.

The two were arrested Saturday night after deputies responded to a call about a home invasion in the 700 block of Beverly Parkway. Deputies arrived at the residence around 11:20 p.m. and were told by the male and female residents that two suspects had forced their way through a locked door of the home while the couple was home, according to an arrest report.

The victims told deputies that Carey pulled out a pocket knife and pressed it against the male victim’s chest, and both suspects demanded the couple empty their pockets. The victims said they complied, and the suspects took a total of $230 from them. After taking the money, Clark ordered Carey “to go ahead and knock them out,” at which point, Carey punched the male victim in the mouth, the arrest report states.

Both suspects fled the home and left in a white Dodge Charger, but the victims ran after the suspects and were able to obtain the license plate number, according to the report. The male victim refused treatment from Escambia County Emergency Medical Services for his injuries, according to the Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies were able to track down Carey and Clark in the Dodge a short time later on Mobile Highway, north of Marlane Drive. After a short chase involving k-9 units, deputies collared Carey and Clark and took them into custody.

Carey is charged with numerous felony offenses including home invasion robbery, aggravated assault, battery, eluding law enforcement, resisting an officer and a nonmoving traffic violation. He is being held on a $331,000 bond.

Clark is charged with home invasion robbery and crimes against a person. He is being held on a $255,000 bond.
