I agree with the Reubens, but I prefer the ones that my wife makes here at home.

The Ty's Two Fister from Datz Deli in Tampa -
Sy Ginsberg’s corned beef, house-smoked pastrami, swiss, muenster, honeycup mustard, on pumpernickel, plus homemade sweet-n-salty chips with creamy, but mild blue cheese drizzle.

Heaven on a plate.

Al's Castle Bar sure made some tasty sammiches.

I'd still eat there if it hadn't closed... sniff. Sad

St Thomas, Virgin Islands made this burger that drooled juices down your chin when bit into... But then there was this Blue Sky burger in Ohio that did the same thing but had blue cheese dressing on it...

Heavenly!!!!!

I like air sandwiches made of Mediterranean olive bread. In other words, all bread, no stuffing.

Now I'm going to have to go buy some later today.

A simple grilled cheese with a bowl of soup in the winter, or a BLT in the summer.

Philli's cheese steaks or a good sausage and pepper sandwich with more peppers and a lot less onions than anything I ever had south of NY.. The sausage and peppers at the boardwalks in NJ and various places in NY use coctail sauce to spice it up a little. Various places around P'cola never heard of it.. I guess it';s a northern thing, just like cooking saurcraut and putting it hot on top of a hot dog..

Bob, then you have to try the triple decker club at Margaritaville on the beach. Ask to sit outside on the patio and request one of the two-seat high tops that overlook the water. Best sandwich/view combo I have seen in Pensacola.

Thanks, bds. I'll definitely give that a try.

It's big, it's extremely garlicy, and it's a little on the pricey side ($12) for a take-out sandwich alone. I only get it every now and then due to the price and arduous process of purchasing stuff from that store. You should go try one.

My favorite sandwich would have to be a Texas barbecue brisket sandwich. We have a real Texas barbecue hole in the wall restaurant across town from us. The place is closed on weekends which does not make it easy for us to get over there. But on Friday nights, once every two or three months, we'll go there and buy a couple of pounds of their brisket and a pint of their homemade sauce. We bring it home and make sandwiches from it on fresh hamburger buns that I've bought earlier in the day. And we have what we call a "brisket weekend" where we eat brisket all weekend.

My favorite little restaurant in all of North Alabama. If you scroll down, the middle photo is their brisket.

Some of those sandwiches you guys posted look like heart-attack specials.

I can also go with a simple Subway Cold-Cut Trio (hold the jalapenos, yellow peppers, and cucumbers-but put everything else on it).

And lately, I have enjoyed the Smoked Turkey on Country from the Panera Bread Co. I get a half sandwich with a small Greek Salad, and it comes with a big hunk of bread. I could almost eat their bread by itself, it is so good.
