Tax Payers are spending MILLIONS to advertise on TV for more people to sign up for Food Stamps.

This administration is determined to attract as many people as possible to their entitlement society which adds to their voter base. People are not going to vote fewer handouts to themselves. Once again, this administration works hard to punish good behavior and reward bad behavior.

How can Sessions doubt the benefits of more money funneling into the community through the grocery store cash register? Maybe the store would hire more workers? If the store sold more food they would need more deliveries of produce, canned goods and so on. All this added economic activity would be good. Jeff Sessions's stance on this issue is the kind of thing that makes people hate political discussions.
As the article states, people with good nutrition are less likely to miss days at work; that's good for the economy too. Also according to the article most people are off the program after a few months. Heaven forbid the government ever does anything to help anyone but banks, corporations and the already well off. What are they thinking?
I understand the position that you think this program is creating a permanent underclass of couch potatoes but the facts don't bear that out. Many people hesitate to even sign up, as stated in the article. Society frowns on an unnecessary hand out. Sure. I'd rather err on the side of feeding kids and families and risk giving away a box of cereal unnecessarily. Over-all I think the program helps more than it harms.

USDA contends that SNAP even offers incentives to get back to work, as SNAP benefits only decrease by 24 to 36 cents for every additional dollar a SNAP participant earns.

WOW...I never came across anyone who bought into that line as spewed by former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi.

PLEASE, explain extracting, by force, $100.00 in taxes from a worker in Pensacola, then it is filtered through the government bureaucracy resulting in $50.00 in food stamps being given to a NON-worker in Pensacola helps the economy in Pensacola or that grocery store you're concerned about.

Food insecurity? What a crock! Schools offer breakfast and lunch to kids, some now offer DINNER along with pre and post class care. Who needs the parents? When were they absolved of THEIR responsibility?

We have 67 poverty programs, we have spent over $15 TRILLION has been spent on the Johnson "War on Poverty" and "Great Society" and the rate of POVERTY remains UNCHANGED.

it took her 3 days to hunt down that story. that story is a bunch of bunk, we dont have starving children like they do in other countries. our kids are fat. look around. even the president said so.

sure, there may be a FEW exceptions because maybe some poor kid has a sorryass for a parent. but thats few. as far as children being able to get food, its wide open man.

what this program does is trying to get people to not be self reliant, but the goc doesnt want people to be self reliant.

ask yourself, why in the hell would the gov pay millions of dollars to offer people to get on foodstamps, they advertise it like its a product. rediculus.
