Two more women have stories to tell about Brett Kavanaugh — including that he exposed himself at Yale party

Two more women have tales to tell about Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh — including one who told The New Yorker that while both were studying at Yale, Kavanaugh thrust his private parts in her face.

The stories emerged Sunday night as Kavanaugh’s nomination was already roiled by allegations he tried to rape a woman while both were high school students.

Deborah Ramirez, 53, told the New Yorker that Kavanaugh exposed himself at a college dorm party when they were both studying at Yale. She said Kavanaugh “thrust his penis in her face, and caused her to touch it without her consent as she pushed him away.”

“Brett was laughing,” she told the magazine. “I can still see his face, and his hips coming forward, like when you pull up your pants.”

Well, this is gonna be fun to watch.   Buh bye, Brett

Attorney Michael Avenatti, who represents adult film star Stormy Daniels in a lawsuit against President Trump, tweeted Sunday evening that he represented a woman "with credible information regarding Judge Kavanaugh and [high school friend] Mark Judge."

They cheated on their biology test.

Buh bye, Brett. He won't even make it to a vote in the Senate.

There will be a vote. He will be confirmed. He will become the bookend of another bitter Supreme Court Justice. Done deal, but I guess when we are talking about porn stars and exposing oneself, what ever happened to discussions of the Equal Protection Clause and warrantless searches......

His nomination will be withdrawn before it ever gets to a vote in the Senate.

And what's more, there won't be another nomination that gets through committee before the November election. Democrats are going to extract some serious payback for Merrick Garland... and rightly so.

Looks like the pubs bit off more than they can chew this time. I wonder how many more skeletons are hiding in Kavanaugh's closet.

Ramirez, 53, remembered seeing Kavanaugh standing up with his pants down, “laughing.”

“I can still see his face, and his hips coming forward, like when you pull up your pants,” she said. “Somebody yelled down the hall, ‘Brett Kavanaugh just put his penis in Debbie’s face.’ It was his full name. I don’t think it was just ‘Brett.’ And I remember hearing and being mortified that this was out there.”

Brett Kavanaugh and pals accused of gang rapes in high school, says lawyer Michael Avenatti

Lawyer Michael Avenatti told the Senate Judiciary Committee late Sunday that he has multiple witnesses who can say Brett Kavanaugh participated in gang rapes of drunken women during high school.

“We are aware of significant evidence of multiple house parties in the Washington, D.C. area during the early 1980s during which Brett Kavanaugh, Mark Judge and others would participate in the targeting of women with alcohol/drugs in order to allow a ‘train’ of men to subsequently gang rape them,” Avenatti said in an email to Mike Davis, chief counsel for nominations for the Senate Judiciary Committee.

Kavanaugh is toast. Even if these claims are exaggerated, when considered with the rest of the stuff about him, he'll withdraw his nomination rather than have all this play out in the media. Avenatti is too shrewd a lawyer to float completely bogus accusations--my guess is that there's enough here to sink him.

Agreed re Avenatti -- and I dearly hope you're right that the nominee is toast. Any prediction on how long that might take?  Remember:Trump will be advising Kavanaugh to just continue to deny, deny, deny.

I'd bet that he withdraws before Thursday--but I wouldn't bet very much.

He's not like Trump, a big scandal would really hurt his professional reputation and imagine the embarrassment for his wife and kids at that Chevy Chase Country Club. I just don't think he could stand it. If he withdraws he wouldn't have to deal with all that. But who knows, he might just tough it out.

If there's any truth to the Avenatti stuff, he's gotta know there's other witness. Just imagine getting some of them under oath in front of God and everybody.

I would not be too quick to say Kavanaugh will withdraw.  Withdrawal wold be construed as an admission of guilt .... and he's never going to admit he's guilty of this kind of thing, even if he is.

I hope for Democrats sake this Avenatti guy can bring forth some credible witnesses.  The more and more outrageous, obscene, and unsubstantiated 11th hour allegations that get levied against him, the more conservative media will be able to paint them with skepticism as just a left wing attempt to derail the nomination with false slander. This could actually backfire on the Democrats in the eyes of a lot of the public.

I'll admit to having a bias against frat rats (spent a lot of my college years brawling with the fuckers) so it wouldn't surprise me much if things like this happened. I just hope they can produce more evidence, but that's going to be tough.

If Trump really gave a damn about the country (and he absolutely doesn't) he'd respect that we're a pretty evenly split nation and put in someone more moderate. I know elections have consequences, but Obama (much to the consternation of a lot of the farther left) never really took advantage of that. Sotomayor is hardly any kind of radical, and neither was Garland, who didn't even get a hearing.

Trump's only bucking for Kavanaugh because he's sure he'd give him a pass on his crimes. That's why Kavanaugh suddenly showed up at the top of the list when he wasn't on the previous lists at all. Trump's previous top pick (can't remember her name) was a woman who was a rabid theocrat, wanting to kill Roe Vs. Wade and basically institute a Baptard version of Sharia Law. She'd be even more divisive. Trump's too obsessed with pleasing his cultists to worry about actually serving the needs of a diverse, divided country. That's going to cause a big backlash when Republicans are out again... and, partisan as I am, I'm not fond of backlash politics no matter who's doing it. But, overreach breeds it, and that's what we're gonna end up with.

I think Kavanaugh was more of a Heritage Foundation, et al pick than a Trump pick.  Trump likely doesn't know or care all that much about Constitutional philosophy or the details of all the various Federal judges out there.   And I imagine Trump could care two cents about abortion one way or the other. He's relying on Republicans to tell him who to nominate for SCOTUS.

But of course Trump wants him confirmed because he nominated him .... but the Kavanugh nomination is ultimately for the Republican Party to defend.

I'm afraid you're right -- and am particularly concerned this morning because the (admittedly shocking) allegations supposedly coming from Avenatti haven't been mentioned at all by the mainstream media this morning -- at least not that I've seen/heard.

Why not??

And just how reliable is the New York Daily News?  Don't know anything about them.  Could this gang rape thing be a hoax of some sort?  That would be extremely regrettable, if not criminal.

Answering my own question:  Seems the report about Avenatti is not a hoax.

Check out this Boston Globe story including Avenatti's tweets, and enlarge if you can Avenatti's screen shot of his email to Mike Davis, Chief Counsel for Nominations, containing a list of questions related to the new allegations which Avenatti says should be asked of Kavanaugh:

Here's what we know about the new accusations against Brett Kavanaugh

Mainstream media must be doing due diligence before reporting, or so I assume.

Not a chance he will withdraw. Zero chance. I honestly cannot believe how caught up in this hysteria forum members have become and how naive they are. I am sorry. Republicans are not wussies, and when mitch says this will be pushed through, I have zero doubt as we will soon be getting a backlash from America on these theatrics. Again, the man has thirty five years of college, law school, and the bench where he has served honorably. I am losing respect for how low the democrats have sunk to these all time lows, and now they have simply compounded the injustice of the Garland nomination into a political circus......I cannot wait to those democrats running for high office get on their high horse like the NJ groper who breaks senate rules over nothing but attention seeking. Now our future supreme court jurist is a serial gang raper.......please take a deep breath, some people have lost their mind.

Kavanaugh emphatically denied Ford's claim against him, telling MacCallum that he was a virgin through high school and for "many years after."

All allegations aside .... that statement disqualifies him outright, IMO.  I mean ... okay, yeah ... so he's a rich prep school kid. We can forgive him that.  But that particular confession just puts him a little too far out of touch with mainstream America. Laughing

Okay, if Kavanaugh is claiming he was a virgin, and was in a college fraternity, now I don't want him for a whole different reason -- because he's an idiot.   Who the hell would join a fraternity and not get laid?!?   That's pretty much all those idiotic latent boy-fests are for!   That'd just be weird.   "Oh, no,  I paid my dues to join this very expensive golf club, but I don't golf... I just like they sandwiches they serve in the clubhouse there!"   Come aaaaahhhhhhhhn, motherfucker, nobody's gonna believe that shit!  Why would you even?   Did he just wanna surround himself with guys who'd give him hell bullying him while he stalwartly saved himself for marriage?  He picked the wrong freakin' culture.

SeaOat is right, Republicans are not wussies by any means. They play dirty and are proud of it. They have a guy in the WH to prove their methods work.

However, my hopes are with Avenatti and his credible witnesses. He claimed on Maddow's show last night that this had to do with more than one incident and that he had several supporting witnesses. In these days of political bizarreness anything is possible. I would like nothing more than to see Avenatti hold a press conference and blow this whole thing into smithereens. Avenatti is media savvy and does not have to wait for "permission" from the judiciary committee, McConnell or anyone else. He will go directly to the American people just as 45 does with his Tweets and lay out his case.

Not directly related to the Kavanaugh thing ... but while reviewing the local news out here in Waco this morning I came across this:

Two months after a former Baylor University fraternity president was indicted on charges he sexually assaulted another student in 2016, a prosecutor offered him probation without informing the alleged victim or her family until the plea offer was turned down.

An attorney for the woman and her parents filed a notice in court this week objecting to a subsequent plea bargain offered to Jacob Walter Anderson that includes deferred probation on a reduced charge and no sex offender registration. They are urging 19th State District Judge Ralph Strother to reject the plea agreement and send the case to trial.

Anderson had been set to plead no contest Sept. 10 to a reduced charge of unlawful restraint in exchange for prosecutor Hilary LaBorde’s promise to drop four sexual assault counts and to recommend deferred probation and counseling. Anderson would not be required to register as a sex offender under the terms of the plea agreement.

His plea date was postponed this week because of high-profile trials that were set that day and to accommodate the victim’s family, who live in California and who want to be in court. A new plea date has not been rescheduled.

Vic Feazell, an attorney for the woman and her parents, said this week that the family learned of the proposed plea agreement between LaBorde and Anderson by reading an Aug. 23 story in the Tribune-Herald.

“Since the inception of the case, the victim and her parents were told by the prosecutor that the case would go to trial and that it definitely would not be plea bargained down without the consultation and consent of the victim,” Feazell wrote in the notice. “They were assured it was not a question of guilty/innocence, but of punishment only.”

When told court documents show LaBorde offered Anderson 10 years probation and a $5,000 fine in exchange for his plea to sexual assault in July 2016, Feazell said, “Oh, my. We were lied to from the get-go.”

In an email Feazell provided to the Tribune-Herald, Feazell wrote to District Attorney Abel Reyna in August 2016 that the family was unhappy about finding out an offer of probation had been made without consulting them, but said they were relieved Anderson turned it down.

“I explained that there were many factors that could have led to the offer and I had glowing things to say about Hilary. I know she’s tough,” Feazell wrote to Reyna.

The victim’s mother said in a statement provided by Feazell that they are upset LaBorde did not inform them before the initial offer in 2016 or the subsequent offer this year.

“She never told us about that (first) one, and she had not even spoken to the witnesses or even read the Title IX report yet,” the woman’s mother said. “She never bothered to put one ounce of effort into this case. She led (her daughter) on and put her through this knowing she was going to betray her the whole time.”

LaBorde said Friday that she cannot comment on pending matters.

“I’m disappointed and I hope the judge refuses to accept this atrocious plea bargain,” Feazell said.

Anderson, 23, of Garland, former president of the Phi Delta Theta fraternity chapter at Baylor, was expelled after a university investigation.

Included as exhibits with the filing earlier this week are emails between Feazell and the woman and her parents. In an email dated Aug. 28 to Feazell, the woman describes how upset she is about the proposed plea agreement.

“This guy violently raped me multiple times, choked me and when I blacked out, he dumped me face down on the ground and left me to die,” the woman’s email states. “When I woke up aspirating on my own vomit, my friends immediately took me to the hospital and we reported it to the Waco police, Baylor police and Title IX office.”

The woman wrote that LaBorde seems more concerned about Anderson getting counseling than a rape conviction.

“I have been waiting two-and-a-half years for this trial,” her email states. “I have been through hell and back, and my life has been forever turned upside down. I feel like I should have the right to the trial for the four counts of sexual assault the grand jury indicted him on. … I was furious and devastated when I read the newspaper article that she was basically dropping the sexual assault charges.”

The woman reported she was at a fraternity party in South Waco and someone handed her punch and told her to drink it, according to court records. Shortly thereafter, she became disoriented and Anderson took her to a secluded part of the grounds behind a tent so she could get some air. However, once they were away from the crowd, he sexually assaulted her, according to records.

I can tell you from my experience in law enforcement this case would not be this far along if the evidence were not strong.   I can also say "Wow!  What a sweet plea deal that is they are offering this guy.  Deferred Probation?   $5k fine?  No sex offender registration?  You gotta wonder who his family is connected to?"

https://www.emptywheel.net/2018/09/23/brett-kavanaugh-just-provided-compelling-evidence-he-received-sexually-explicit-emails-from-alex-kozinski/

Here's a comment:

This isn’t on Trump as much as it’s on the Right Wing. Kavanaugh is the poster boy for the Right Wing’s social ladder, having climbed every rung and kissed every ring along the way.

Kavanaugh’s first clerkship was for the Appeals Court Judge who wrote the majority appeals court opinion in Planned Parenthood v Casey, upholding all but one of Pennsylvania’s restrictions on abortion. The ruling was later mostly-sorta overturned by SCOTUS, in one of those oddball cases where the basic holding of Roe was affirmed, but different constellations of justices approved or rejected parts of the PA laws.

From there, Kavanaugh went to the chambers of Alex Kozinski of sexual harassment fame. He then spent a year working for Solicitor General Ken Starr, and then moved on to a SCOTUS clerkship with Kennedy. Starr then called him back to service as part of the Great Penis Hunt (h/t Charlie Pierce), with a starring role in the investigation of the murder (!) of Vince Foster, as well as helping to craft the final Starr Report.

After all that, he went into private practice, where he served pro bono in support of Elian Gonzalez’ Florida relatives. He worked for Jeb Bush in trying to set up a religious school voucher program (struck down by the Florida SC), and then the Bush legal team fighting the Florida recount in the 2000 election. As a reward, he then served as an associate in the White House Counsel’s Office under Alberto Gonzalez. From there he moved over to being the WH Staff Secretary, overseeing all that went in and out of the Dubya oval office. With this kind of stellar rightwing record on issues from abortion to school vouchers to fighting the Clinton administration to getting Dubya into office to supporting Dubya’s various dubious activities, he was nominated and ultimately confirmed as a judge on the DC Circuit Court of Appeals. Since then, he’s been a regular speaker before various conferences hosted by the Federalist Society, continuing to polish his bona fides as a True Believer.

My WAG, with no explicit evidence to back it up (save for the political stench), is that when Trump was flailing around for a VP, Trump made a deal with Mike Pence. Pence agreed to be VP and thus help Trump get the evangelical community excited about this thrice-married, pussy-grabbing, money-grubbing narcissist, and his price was that Pence and the True Believers of the Right would have free rein when it came to nominating judges and justices. Kavanaugh is the right wing’s boy — Trump just signed on the bottom line, to make the nomination official.

What he means by "never had sex" is that he never had any FREE sex--that he's such a creep he never met a girl who'd fuck him just for fun. Copulation with prostitutes doesn't count because whores aren't really members of the human race--they're a different species.

We are teetering on barbarism. This circus will end, but as much as I hate everything about Donald Trump and the Dixiecrat Republicans, I definitely am reminded why I remain a registered Republican. This mob chatter of lemmings is hysterical to me. Who cares when he had his first sex? None of this is relevant. To me it is like a clerk at Walmart accusing you falsely of stealing razor blades, and when they are prosecuting the case, the judge allows evidence that I stole a baseball from the batting cage at 16(I did.....but I was so guilt ridden, I returned after hours and threw it into the batting cage_)......again no judge would allow that evidence as probative, and that is exactly the role of the chairman of the committee. He could spend the next three weeks running down every allegation from forty years ago, but when will fools realize that this is simply a political circus which will end very badly for the ring leaders.
