The Supreme Court and the appointment of Judges has always been "political" in varying degrees in different time periods of American history.
As former President Obama once told Eric Cantor “Elections have consequences, and at the end of the day, I won. So I think on that one I trump you.”
(Does anybody else find his choice of the word "trump" in that last phrase as ironic as I do?
