There was, after the abrupt Scaramucci meltdown, hardly any effort inside the West Wing to disguise the sense of ludicrousness and anger felt by every member of the senior staff toward Trump's family and Trump himself. It became almost a kind of competition to demystify Trump. For Rex Tillerson, he was a moron. For Gary Cohn, he was dumb as shit. For H.R. McMaster, he was a hopeless idiot. For Steve Bannon, he had lost his mind.

Most succinctly, no one expected him to survive Mueller. Whatever the substance of the Russia "collusion," Trump, in the estimation of his senior staff, did not have the discipline to navigate a tough investigation, nor the credibility to attract the caliber of lawyers he would need to help him. (At least nine major law firms had turned down an invitation to represent the president.)

There was more: Everybody was painfully aware of the increasing pace of his repetitions. It used to be inside of 30 minutes he'd repeat, word-for-word and expression-for-expression, the same three stories — now it was within 10 minutes. Indeed, many of his tweets were the product of his repetitions — he just couldn't stop saying something."

And lies are truth, and then is tomorrow. Trump's world.

Reality

Yes he lost his mind but the country lost it's mind last year too. Hopefully we and our country will be on the road to recovery in 2018 and fully healed in 2020.

That's fucking hilarious!! Democrats are in meltdown? Hell, they're sharpening their canines. It's your bunch that's doomed and desperate. And, unfortunately, without moral consciousness (find me a republican who doesn't believe Trump is totally mad). Admit it nutcase, you and your bunch are caught in a terrible political maelstrom: either keep pretending the current president is a "stable genius" or lose all power now instead of a little later ... Yeah baby ... the ship is sinking. Hang on to the anchor line. LOL

I guess you can hope that the market tanks... tax cuts don't help the economy...  unemployment starts rising... trade begins failing... isis makes a comeback... China takes more of the trade routes in the south China sea... Russia invades another Baltic country... illegal immigration makes a comeback... etc.

Good strategy comrade.

Obama failed at them all... who wants that? But it's not like dems held him responsible. That's racism.

For all of his personal faults... trump puts America first. That's a good thing. Right?

He was going to give the middle class a great economy - zero. The middle class mostly doesn't own stocks. He was going to give us super healthcare -- zero. And we're still fighting in 76 countries. Women are still underpaid, college still costs a bundle, and black Americans are still fighting for their right to vote. The only thin - THE ONLY THING -- Trump is loyal to is Trump. Reality.

You are so stupid you really should kill yourself.

"Obama failed at them all." Do you really believe the shit you spout?

You mention the market tanking. Here's factual data. Suck on it.

You mention unemployment rising. How brainwashed are you?

Trump's job numbers are pretty good. But they're still a downturn compared to the past 6 years.

Average Monthly Job Gains by year
•2017: 171,000
•2016: 187,000
•2015: 226,000
•2014: 250,000
•2013: 192,000
•2012: 179,000
•2011: 174,000
•2010: 88,000

The job market is slowing under Trump. It's still doing well, overall, because the economy Trump inherited was so strong. Obama had a bad first year because he inherited Bush's economy and had to fix it. But every single year since, he did better than this year.

You mention trade. Obama decreased the trade deficit.

In fact, he set some records.

Under President Obama, Made-in-America exports have hit record-breaking levels for the last 5 consecutive years, and those exports now support an all-time high of 11.7 million well-paying jobs all across our country to the benefit of American farmers, workers, and businesses of all sizes.

And Trump has shut the U.S. out of major trade deals... which other countries are capitalizing on.

Illegal immigration? It was down under Obama. From 556,041 in 2009 to 340,252 in 2011.

And on and on.

You just believe shit. You swallow down what you're told. This is why it's such a colossal waste of time having you here -- you contribute nothing but wrong-headed bullshit and waste everyone's time. I'm going ahead and refuting you today with factual data just to underline the fact that you're completely full of crap and nobody should encourage you anymore. But I know that won't stop you, because it never has. You just spit out the same horseshit you've been fed because factual information has no bearing on the things you belieeeeeve. You bought a bunch of swill and you want to sell it to us, too, so you won't feel lonesome. Sorry, but it's not working. Facts don't give a damn that you don't want to be wrong.

And you'll notice not a goddamn thing you just posted refutes anything I said. You said "Obama failed at them all." I proved you wrong. Now you're trying to duck that by trying to talk about a different thing.

Whether Trump's getting better numbers or not at the moment is pretty immaterial, considering he's passed almost no legislation and is still dealing with Obama's economy for the most part. If he's bringing in bigger numbers a year from now, you may have more to crow about. As of now, there's not a lot you can legitimately credit him for.

Well I basically agree with pkr . . . . . 45, despiite his serious flaws, has tactically boxed the Dems in by punching all correct buttons, I.e., he has patronized at taxpayers expense coal miners, military (MIC), war on ISIS, a bull stock martket hence a growing economy . . . . it is going to be an uphill battle in my opinion and I despise what he has done to the dignity of the office, his war on the press, his dishonesty and disrespect for many of our foundational institutions . . . . . these issues will make for a very interesting 2018 and 2020.

Not a single unemployed coal miner has been rehired as yet in Appalachia.
The "bull" stock market helps about 40% of the middle class who own stocks, the rest of us don't own them and get nothing from the up market. We are fighting Islamic terrorism now in 76 countries and are winning in none. Trump can't win another national election without minorities, women, students and millennials. Reality.

We did have someone who stepped up and motivated people but the Clinton Crime Family and Unscrupulous Enterprise Everlasting put the kibosh on that pretty quick, so now we got Trump.
