France, Land of Croissants, Finds Butter Vanishing From Shelves

View previous topic View next topic Go down  Message [Page 1 of 1]

The last two years I have had an insatiable butter craving. I insist that it can only be land of lakes stick butter and have been like a crazy person when my wife bought another type of butter and I complained that something was wrong with my roll not knowing that she had changed butter. I am eating triple the amount of butter and the only problem is my wife is sharing a great deal of the food which has been buttered and for the first time in her life her cholesteral levels have been at 290 and the doctor will give her six months to lower the levels or she will be put on medication.

The french have historically put up rigid tariff barriers on agricultural products imported into the country as they protect their inefficient agricultural sector, but if I went to the store and they were out of butter I would hop in the car and go buy some in Germany or England. No civilized nation can be butterless.

She can get her cholesterol down. I love Land of Lakes salted butter. Just wish I could have a generous portion on a piping hot soft and fresh roll. pale

I've always used salted butter... even though everyone else in my family switched to that chemical crap. I took a lot of grief... but in the end was proven right. That substitute junk isn't good for you.

Btw... I'm definitely making rolls tonight now... lol.
