The first job of the President of the USA is to protect all Americans ... Vegas is another Trump failure!!

Considering all the mass shootings in our country and abroad in the last three years, and then ask yourself whenever large crowds are attending an event like a concert or a ball game, why aren't federal security agents are in place to respond immediately if they are needed?

Whether it's a total nutcase or a genuine terrorist action, offering condolences and sharing the grief after the fact, is no longer tolerable.

No sir.  The Pussy Grabber with the dead rat on his head owns this one, and any new shooting massacres that become a reality, unless law enforcement or military response teams are on duty wherever and whenever thousands of us gather.

You have to admit, had the Pussy Grabber held a rally there at the same venue, there damned well would have been snipers in place for protection.

Why are any of us worth less?

There is only room for one crazy on this forum, and you are invading my space. No putting federal agents in ball parks is crazier than any Seaoat idea. The truth is that this was not President Trump's fault, but not addressing automatic weapons is a problem which Congress must address. Also, it is time in America to qualify the role of law enforcement. Is it war on drugs. Slave militias with militarized departments, or can we have streamlined proactive departments focusing on violent crime. It is a choice which must be made in every community.

Arresting black kids for weed, or putting a meth head in jail for 15 years is not a plan. There will be more elevated shootings. How we react is important. Blaming Trump is silly, but adding more personnel and raising pay is not the answer......intelligence.....intelligence........and a good portion of common sense.

Look, there's nothing silly about my suggestion involving rapid firepower response presence at crowded venues. We already employ armed cops at key airport and train stations, etc. We just need to enlarge the theater of operations, to include all venues where big crowds gather. Comment?

I was using satire when I said that folks will not be allowed into country western concerts without an automatic weapon to throw some shade on folks who think if everybody in a theater had a concealed weapon would protect people. Sorry, we cannot let terrorists change America because we have no plan. There are intelligent methods to screen and prepare for a response to a mass shooting.

Wrigley Field is a prime example of a venue where armed federal agents in Wrigley field would not stop an attack any faster than current Chicago police having a PLAN to deal with elevated sniper locations over a venue. On Michigan Ave. in Chicago is a series of skyscrappers and Millenial Park often has concerts with a 100k people in attendance. Having federal agents at the concert is not the answer. It needs to be a local response with an inventory and response plan for the local department. Many time local departments have snipers when doing a protective corridor and when the Pope visited this park they used all local departments to monitor Michigan Ave buildings. Unlike Vegas where windows are ALL sealed, Michigan Ave has older buildings with windows which open. It is not hard to imagine somebody going all Walter White on an event in multiple locations without the human being present.

Drones, and a plan are the first step, and that is uniquely local in nature. Chicago can do it better than the feds anyway. They would not have waited an hour after the shooter shot the security guard.....it would have been the OK corral like 1969. However, when your fire chief and your police chief state in public that you never imagined a sniper from a hotel.....those sealed windows are a great idea, but when they break, you need room specific information. Clark county LEO are simply shills for the casinos.......any suggestion like sprinklers got people fired in the past, so of course they had no plan.....it would have cost casinos money.

God, I just don't know. You guys are ruining my total hatred of Donald Trump by blaming him for things that not even I blame him for.
WE don't need the Gestapo at our music concerts, and other than not having some gun control law that involved the counting of the guns that this guy bought,  I can't figure out any way to blame the Donald for the shooting in Vegas.

It's not that I wouldn't LIKE to blame him, I just can't figure out how. I have faith, though, that he'll say some atrocious thing over the next two days about the shootings and then I can scream about that.

My attack of Trump was satire. My ideas to have heavily armed police on station at crowd venues was real. And while you may consider four or five snipers on rooftops or sequestered at observation and shooting sites at a ball park or concert to be a "gestapo" presence, I do not. What amazes me about the madman now in our driver's seat, is the broad majority of the republican party knows he's a fruitcake and truly dangerous. Why aren't they doing anything about it?

Because Trump is going to eliminate the estate tax entirely. A billion dollar saving for his family, but more for the lobbyist who own congress. This is not rocket science.

How many times do you want to tax the same money?

Wonderful. Pkrbum's POV is typical hard right -- as the poor class grows while the middle class is decimated, Pkrbum says fuck you if you aren't rich.
Think of all those poor millionaires being taxed so heavily ....

OK Pkrbum ... we've got your number.

And I've got yours. The same old marxist class envy tactic... cause it turns out so well for the poor.

I guess obama was even a bigger failure with sandy Hook, San bernadino, and Orlando etc happening on his watch? If that's your take, obama had eight years to fix it and ignored it OR jackass, it's a problem you cannot solve with an incident of the magnitude that happened.

This guy had a classic, urban warfare, killbox created due to the 1) confines of the venue with small entry control points to keep out those who were non payers ,2) tactical advantage of elevation and night 3) the glittery Vegas strip filled with lights which made most of the inebriated music concert participants night blind to be able to spot where the shooting was coming from, 4)more weapons/ammo than he could actually expend, and this was a classic, classic soft target like our gun free schools, hospitals, Courthouses etc. Cops cannot be everywhere and neither can the federal government. Not even the cops could immediately spot th location of the shooter initially .

He had ten suitcases with 29 guns and thousands of rounds. He rigged his hallway with cameras to see where the cops were according to what I read yesterday. You can't stop this sort of evil not even with the police force you're asking to be maintainedfor these kind of situations.  It's impossible. But I'm sure you would like a police state where everyone snitches on each other and is in everyone's business, much like the former Soviet Union during the heyday of  Communism ? No thanks, that's not freedom.

It's not trumps fault and it wasn't Obamas fault. It's the hearts of people that
Need change.

Do you really think a drone,
Aside from maybe a military one, would have helped? I don't think we are going to license Leos to fly and operate tactical aircraft that have that capability. There's too much abuse already rampant in the police force.
