Here's what Trump doesn't want you to know about the four Americans who just died in Niger.

The country adjacent to Niger is, until lately, one of our best allies in the region and their military forces have been an effective force against Boko Haram Islamic terrorists who operate in Nigeria.  But not anymore .. thanks to Trump and gang.

Chad is rich with oil and Exxon-Mobil (Secretary of State Tillerson's old company) is their major buyer.  A year or so ago, Chad fined Exxon several billion for not paying the proper taxes on the oil they've been exporting.

In return, the U.S. just banned the people of Chad from visiting the U.S.A.  Firing back, Chad removed its army from Nigeria, and suddenly the pressure on Boko Haram was off.

The result was a Muslim terrorist ambush of the American patrol and the deaths of the four American troops.

No wonder Trump doesn't want to discuss or reveal any information on how this disaster -- not unlike that of the Benghazi tragedy -- came to be.

Realizing he could be in deep shit again, Trump has deflected attention from this situation by playing games with healthcare, and causing a ruckus with calls to the surviving families of the four U.S. troops who were killed in Niger.

Reality.

We see where you are coming from -- and it has nothing whatever to do with the deaths of the four soldiers last week in Niger. Nothing to do either with the facts about Exxon's revenge on Chad thanks to Tillerson. Nothing to do also with the fact that Chad withdrew all it's military force which had been combating Boku Haram terrorists in Niger. And that withdrawal, thanks to the travel ban in the U.S. on citizens of Chad, left our American special forces troops in Niger a special target. Measuring Trump against Obama is your game and it's plainly stupid. Why are you afraid to come out and admit that Trump and gang hasn't the foggiest idea what they are doing in Africa and the MidEast, which accounts for 4 dead now, and many more to come.

Reality.

Now you want full disclosure? Lol... good luck with that. We either all demand it every time... or we get none.

Nice work.

Last night's Rachel Maddow show.  Whether you like her or not, I've seldom found her pitching fake news -- she has more inherent integrity than anyone else on cable, in my opinion.  You can google chad and Exxon taxes if you want to follow up.

When do the hearings start. When do the accusations that President Trump was tweeting from a toilet when the generals were begging him to give the ok for air support........it does not matter what the truth is.......rather start a hearing and using innuendo and half facts to implant propaganda in the American people......so of course the subject needs to be changed.

This appears to be an analysis failure by Maddow ....

Miss Seay -- the expert featured in the link you provide, corroborates that Chaddean forces were withdrawn from Diffa -- and Diffa is where the American soldiers were ambushed. Please point out where Maddow's analysis was wrong.

It also had to do with a request by the US for all countries to submit newly printed passport documents so we could be sure what they were supposed to look like. For some reason Chad had run out of the right kind of paper for their passports, they asked if they could submit a new passport on the right paper rather than one more newly printed. Their request was denied and that was the reason for Chad being put on some kind of list of nations that weren't cooperating with our war on terror. Being on that list hacked off Chad and they began recalling their troops out of Niger. They had been acting as our protectors in Niger. Once they were gone it was not so safe there, hence the attack on our people. That's the last I've heard; who knows what we'll hear next?

Well stated, thanks. I don't know if what we heard from Ms. Maddow is accurate, but I've seen nothing so far to contradict her comment. What makes me think it probably is true, is the fact that Trump and gang won't say a word about the causes of what happened in Niger.

Again, what's the source for this interesting tidbit?

About Maddow: I like her show, mostly, and have been watching her on and off for years but... sometimes she connects dots that aren't there. I double check her stuff when I have the time or interest in the story.
